Evening....hooray for the weekend:j
And hooray for money from the ex going in today:rotfl:
I've had a busy afternoon....home from work and was very cross to get a letter from the letting agency telling me 'politely' to cut the grass, front and back!!!! They did a periodic check 2 weeks ago and said the grass was too long....bl00dy cheek....Yes it was a bit long....but not that bad:p
So I strimmed front and back...then got lawnmower out, but it started smoking and not working very wekk, so gave up on that and strimmed the whole front lawn...urgghhhhhhh.
I then decided to do the tubs as it was sunny - did 11 of them, all the compost and plants used1 And planted some tomato seeds....will see how we get on with those:o
Girls have their friends here so all happy u[pstairs. I've fed them and just baked a big cake for G's birthday tomorrow. Got my mum coming to see her around lunchtime tomorrow, then off swimming with my friend and 8 giries:eek: (no swimming for me, coffee will do)
Spent about £13 on grocery bits today - crisps, coke, bits and bobs. Was going to call it an NSD but remembered I gave girls £2 to go buy chocolate in theshop after school...oh well.
Nothing from UCAS either....getting very imaptient:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Just had the quietest sleepover ever!;) They were all in bed at 10, watching Twilight, I went to sleep about 12 and G poked her head round door to say film had finished and they were off to sleep - I'm amazed:p
G's awake, on the laptop in bed - waiting for the rest to wake up so she can come get her presents....aaaah 12 today:D
I must have a shower soon, got a washing on and had a quick tidy of the kitchen. My mum's coming at 11 just for an hour or so and we're off swimming at 1.30.
Tonight is my brother-in-law's dad's retirement party. It's about 20min drive away so I was going to drive, save a taxi, but my friend's going to take us, so will get a taxi home - I'm still worried about the cost, but well - this is the first night out I've had this year:rolleyes: And I think I'll need a couple of drinks at a retirement part! Ah, my sister and her 3 will be there, it'll be good fun - girls can't wait.
Anyway, must get on. Have a good day all;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Hi Milly, sounds like you've had a great weekend, so many exciting things happening!! Hope the party was good!
And well done on the 11 tubs and grrrrrr to stupid letting agencies!!!!0 -
Thank you all for the messages- we've had a lovely weekend, busy but fun!
Girls all had a great time swimming and it only cost me £16 for them all, plus parking of about £4 and I bought 2 multipacks of chocolate for them when we got out, £2;)
Last night was fun too - my lovely friend drove us there and got a taxi home (which was £20:eek:). But I only spent £11 durung the evening, so still not bad....and it is the first time I've been out this year:rotfl:
Today I've pottered about - cleaned grill and hob and got the oven soaking in the spray cleaner stuff, nice job:rolleyes: Sat in the garden for a while and have done food shopping as girls have gone to ex mil's with their dad for lunch. So no cooking for me tonight either as they're being fed - just got some crispbakes out the freezer for me, with spag hoops - easy:D
I paid a cheque in from ex mil last Tuesday and it STILL hasn't cleared...very annoying, I want to shift the money to my spending account - it's low this week due to yesterday....nearly £60 cash went on the day/night:eek: But I have a few pounds in my purse, food all bought so shouldn't spend apart from on ebay posting this week.
Tesco today came to £42 and I used the rest of the giftcard I got when I took car insurance with Tesco...so I paid £19 for the shopping today...:T
I put £15 of petrol in too - that'll last 2weeks....but must walk to school more:o
Anyway, girls back soon, so off to enjoy the peace for now:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
