Not done too bad so far...
I spent £49 in Tesco, that was after my £3 voucher, so not too bad. £42 of that was the weekly shopping, the rest was a few biscuits/pringles for Xmas and socks for girls to give their dad. In the shopping was a good bit of frozen chicken, washing liquid which will last ages as I didn't need it but it was cheap! Cupboards looking good and freezer is packed! So shouldn't need to go to local shops at all this week - got enough bread and milk til the weekend I think.
Just need to go and hoover the stairs now, then clean kitchen floor and I'm free to do some college work...must not put it off any longer!!!:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Not posted for a while...been a bit unwell, the usual tummy playing up, damn Crohn's.
Nice and quiet in the house tonight, dd2 out and dd1 on laptop, so been having a play about with numbers and seeing how much surplus money I have each month. More than I thought, so I need to sort out overpaying on the loan after Xmas.
I've just done a new SOA to see what it looks like on paper! So will post that in a mo....
I haven't factored in car tax, MOT, Xmas and clothes. I just pay them whenever is needed, I don't put money away each month which maybe I should...put it in a separate account. Clothes wise I probably could put a figure on it, but some months cost more than others. I just wanted to see how much cash I should have each month once all the bills are paid.;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Yes I should I know...and seeing it written down helped me see I should! They're 2 small amounts so be nice to just clear them. Maybe I should use more of my savings to pay off cc but the money I have is all that's left after ex and I sold the house - so in reality it's my life savings! I have £1000 of that amount in an ISA, the rest in my bank's savings acc. I'm just happier to hang on to it - especially as my car's old, may need replacing next year, I'm not spending loads on it when it's mot due. I was going to buy a car when we sold the house but I kept this one until it really packs up.
So....mission for the weekend - use some of the cash to get rid of those cards! My freemans account has gone (well it will when this month's payments clears), lx direct gone, so pleased with those. After Xmas I'll really get back into the Grocery Challenge/ebaying and NSDs.
Thanks for the reply - it's given me a push to get those cards gone!:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Forgot about another catalogue:mad: Freemans....but I only had £35 on it-not any more, all paid off and gone! Will sort out the other 2 later hopefully, dig out the latest bill and get paying.
I'm not convinced I'll get my 12 NSDs this month - mind you, still got a week to get 4 in. I don't need to do a big food shop, just a few bits today. I wasn't going to count grocery shopping as a spend, though obviously it is - but I've budgetted for it in my £200 GC money. Hmmm, it's the extras I need to cut out. So if I only stick to the essential bread, milk and fruit for girls' lunches then maybe I wont count it....or am I cheating?!! It's the magazines, choc bars that sneak in the shopping that make me count it as a spend. I think I'm even on target with my GC - have £31 left this month and have enough in the house for the week, bar milk, bread, fruit...not bad!!
Doing well Xmas shopping-wise, most of it is bought. Mobile for dd2, £60 and £15 back through Quidco, bargain. I have a list of only a few small bits left to buy so pleased with that.
Off to meet my mum for morning coffee today then home in the warm and dry to carry on with college work and tidy the house.
