Donna,
Glad Emily enjoyed school too, you're right, it's definitely us that do most of the worrying!
As for the tumble dryer - I have one but there's no room in this house so when we moved it had to go live in my ex sis in laws garage! I'd love a garage here - the house is fab, garden etc, it'd be perfect with a garage for all my junk. I miss the dryer when the weather is so pants; I had stuff hanging about all weekend too:mad:
G has already done her homework, I'm impressed! (Wasn't much though!!)
Off to dish up their grub now.....I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Another NSD today for me. I did spend on postage for ebay parcels but as the buyer has given me the money to cover this I don't call it a spend - I'm no poorer so its not spending, if that makes sense.
Very tired tonight so going to just get off to bed, no watching tv and no mooching about on here!
I had an email yesterday saying I'd won 10 free iTunes downloads - hooray my first comp win!! So eldest daughter quickly bagged a couple of songs for herself!
Right, must go....;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Another NSD, 5 so far! Felt a bit mean as G wanted money for snack at break, but I've told her just once a week, as 5 lots of 60p is £3 a week, so £12 a month! So she paid out of her own money! I'll give her 60p on a Friday, that's it. And on the way home Em was hungry but I told her I didn't have my purse! Mind you, she soon forgot...and I get my official NSD hahaha.
Had some money in the post from the ex.......a tenner, but better than nothing I suppose! Not quite the £320 I was meant to get! He wants them next weekend...was meant to be this weekend but its my bro in laws bday so we're going to their house for the weekend. It's fine for ex to have them next weekend, but the deal is sat/sun as they go to gym club on Sat morn, which costs £4.20 a session, each. But oh no he says as they're not going this weekend he wants them Fri til Sun! Grrrrrrrr:mad: So I pay £8.40 for a club they're not at....
Anyway must get back to cooking dinner. HM pizza and wedges, nice.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Well Dragon...I was going to tell him that, but girls have said they really want to go to gym, so that kind of decides it for me! If thats what they want, then fine!! I did text him to tell him, but no reply, there's a surprise.
Anyway, home from work, v tired and realised I've not spent...and not going out so another NSD, hooray!!
G off to cheerleading soon, E goes on Fri. Will pay for that tomorrow. Nice easy dinner I think tonight, pasta, veg and sauce. I'm always shattered on a Thurs - maybe I need my weekend to start now?!!!
Off to my sisters this weekend as it was my bro in laws bday this week. They're getting the food in, i'll take some beers I have and buy a bottle of wine, so a cheap weekend. Need to buy G a sleeping bag though as she's away overnight on thurs. the school said they can take duvets, but I couldn't see her getting on the bus with a single duvet haha. And a sleeping bag will come in useful when friends stay.
Might go look at my college work now....;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Well I am still around! I had a rotten cold this week though so just got through work, then managed to feed kids and was in bed at 8.30 most nights! Feeling ok again now....I hate colds as it's not enough to have a day off work, but it's enough to make you feel useless!!
Girls are away this weekend - ex never mentioned having them on Fri again, so they went yesterday after gym. Good job they went togym, G got another badge! I got a good bit of tidying done yesterday, 3 loads of washing including bedding. Now just have a mountain of ironing for later on.
I've been ok money-wise. STill on target for the grocery challenge. But was reading another thread last night and £200 seems tons - one family of 4 scraped by on £20! I'm going to Tesco today, have written my week's meals and don't think I'll need to spend the full £33 thats left of my budget! We'll see.
I was good on Friday and cancelled some channels on Sky, taking it to £19 a month. I know I couldcancel, but the girls love Disney channel and Nick channel which aren't on Freeview, so I'm ok to pay£19 for that. I also cancelled my contents insurance with direct line which was £8 a month and went with co-op, which is just over £4 a month. I also went through Quidco and they said it pays £85 but I only have £15 tracked. I will query it but even so, £15 is good, makes my insurance £28 for the yr.
I did go to M+S yesterday and buy 3 tops for work...I felt guilty all evening, but well, I do need work clothes - some of last years are too tight (I was nice and thin then after losing weight when ex left - sadly it's crept on again, half stone over the summer). But I did return a coat I bought G so had £30 back for that. Mind you I guess I still owe her a coat! I looked at weightwatchers online and was veryyyyyy tempted to register, just for a month £17, but I thought I'd think about it! I figured that if I've paid I might be more likely to stick at it! I just want to lose at least half a stone, make me comfy in my clothes again. But 1 stone would be great. I don't exercise (always too shattered!), maybe that's my problem.
Anyway, I have lots to do...let's write a list....- Make girls' beds up (all washed yesterday)
- sew Em's Brownie badges on her sash
- Take Em's school trousers up
- Clean bathroom
- Go to Tesco
- Take summer clothes up the attic (brought winter stuff down yesterday)
- College work
- Make a loaf of bread in BM

I've done the Tesco shopping - alomost £40, oops. Then nipped to my local co-op as their peppers are 41p...and spent £5, but did get reduced beef stir fry meat, chicken breasts and seeded rolls for me reduced. So I'm over my budget, damn it!! Oh well, the meat will be used next week so won't have to buy meat then...it'll work out ok I'm sure.
I've done some ironing - girls' uniform out of the way. I do have loads more but at least their stuff for the week is done so if I don't do more ironing today it doesnt matter. I've made up their beds (hate doing it as the soft toys on the bed take ages to arrange!!) I've cleaned bathroom too, just off to put the loaf of bread on and chicken in the oven.
It'd be a waste of a lovely day not to sit in the garden for a bit so will have a cuppa soon!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
NSD for me today - I did post a cd I sold on Amazon but I don't count that as have been paid for the postage by the buyer. I resisted a can of diet coke in the shop on the way back to work and came straight home after work.
I don't think tomorrow will be no-spend...well I had to pay £1 for something my daughter is doing at school but she managed to lose the £1 coin out of the envelope as she went up to her class! It slipped out of the corner...arghh...but bless her she's put another pound in out of her own money. But I'm not that tight...can't let her pay so will replace that this week...might do it on a day I need to spend on something else so it won't ruin an otherwise NSD!!! I think I could get away with spending nothing tomorrow...
On wed I need to buy G a couple of bits she needs for art at school, not a lot, just some pens. I'm not buying food at all this week, just need grapes, but am over the £200 budget, not happy
Anyway, my bedtime is here...it's a school night after all;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooooh meant to say...I had a nice parcel in the post last week - I won a competition and got the Guitar Hero game on DS, which is fab as it's on E's Christmas list! But...DS games were only £12 in Morrisons at the time so my Mum picked up the same game - I now have 2!! So going to hang on to both and sell one nearer Christmas...they're going for about £20 on ebay right now, so if I sell for that I'll be £8 up AND still have a copy of the game for her for Xmas...I was sooooo excited! My first decent comp win!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0
