Milly I don't think you spend too much on the girls, I think you've tried really hard not to, and like you say, its not up to him what you do with your money
Did you manage a nsd today? I have so far, not planning on going out again today so hopefully that will be the first one done todayI won't manae one tomorrow either as I have to post the ebay parcel and I will need bread and milk again
Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Yes BBAM, 1st NSD. I was thinking about ebay parcels..I may not count that as a spend, seeing as the buyer has already paid me for the postage - otherwise, my NSDs could be completely messed up as I post stuff quite alot! I have a parcel needing to go tomorrow, if they pay tonight that is.
And yes, none of his business. He's never ever said I buy them too much before - I have a feeling the girlfriend has said that to him. My daughter said that girlfriend and her pal were asking where their clothes were from. As it's often Next stuff, M+S, I expect she told him I spend too much. Also my mum buys them tops now and then...anyway, why am I justifying myself! Not as if I don't work. I can honestly say that since May, when I realised my situation, I haven't spent unnecessarily, I think about what I buy, not just anything I fancy. I felt bad for buying new jeans for myself, but I do need them, some others were too snug and that's not a good look - poured into a pair of jeans!!
Oh....ex's...what a pain they are!!;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Just a quick one before I go back to work today, aaaah the summer hols are no more
Should be a NSD - oh no, maybe not, my friend is taking my girls swimming and i forgot to give her money for it. She says she doesnt want it but she's doing me such a big favour having them today I want to give it to her! So, no NSD, but no spends in the co-op, I refuse to go there;)
Ahh, all nervous at going to work, haha, it's been so long since I was there-feel like this every Sept!
Have a good day...I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hope the first day back goes well.....0

Well it was really nice to be back at work actually! I love my job so never mind going in after the hols. Feels like we'd never been away.
And hooray, had a NSD! My lovely friend refused to take any money, even though she had my girls overnight, took them swimming and bought them pasties afterwards, really kind. So just having a tidy up now - my letting agency want to do some periodic check of the property tomorrow so want it tidy! Then time for dinner and get E in the shower and hairwashed ready for her 1st day back tomorrow. G is off to the ex-inlaws for the day.
Just off to check the bank acc online, it's lower than I expected, arghh...and rent coming out next week, £600. A careful month needed.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well done on the NSD. A few more of those and the bank balance will recover....0

I've had my 3rd NSD of the month today, really pleased! My mum and stepdad came to visit and brought along the News of the World for the Tesco voucher for me, and mum wouldn't take the 95p for the paper! Didn't go out, so spent nothing, fab.
Yesterday the girls and I nipped into town and took a pair of jeans and a bra back that I decided I didn't need. So £46 back into the bank. All I bought was a magnetic dry wipe board to go on my fridge with magnet and pen, very useful! That was £6, £2.80 parking then £10 in co-op on way home on yummy seeded bread for me (50p from £1.55, great), big bag of rolls for girls lunch this week reduced to 99p, wine (for me for last night!!), yogurts, lemonade. So a cheap weekend!
I'll go to Tesco after school one day this week, probably wed. I'm on £76 out of my £200 for the month, which is a bit high I think. but don't need any washing powder, fab con, coffee, drinks etc. Just fruit and veg really.
G had a good day at secondary on Fri! It's her 1st day tomorrow with the rest of the school in, not just the Yr7s, so that'll be fun! She got straight into lessons and seemed to enjoy it. She's very laid back about it all!
I'm sooooo angry with the ex though - he didn't bother to ring her all weekend to find out how she got on. My mum, sister and his mum all rang after school on Fri but not him, no he waits til 7pm tonight. And oops I'd left the ringer off on the house phone so we didnt hear it! But he didnt ring my mobile....god i am so p'd off with him. Poor g...she's not said a thing, but must have wondered why her dad hasnt asked how she got on. What with him not giving me a penny at all right now, I've had enough of him. the reasonable me might have gone.....!
Well, packed lunches all made, bags ready and clothes all ironed...back to normality.;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well done on your NSD! I too managed to bag a copy of NOTW so hopefully will get the chance to pop to Tesco and use my voucher! I have been thinking about getting one of those white boards too...I am so disorganised it is not funny
Really need to sort it out!
I was gonna have some wine last night but had my run this morning so gave it a miss...will save it till next weekend after my half marathon and then will have a glass or bottle!
Great that G had a fab day at big school (really need to stop calling it that as get told off by Emily!) Crazy how the kids are so laid back about everything! Really sorry to hear the ex didn't call and speak with G about her day...such a HUGE thing for the kidsI am lucky in the respect that I never get any grief off of Emily's dad as he denies even knowing me...charming! Picked a fab one there!
I too have done all of the ironing, cleaning etc ready for the new week. Have had so much washing it is insane! One day when I hit the big time, I will get a tumble dryer! Fed up of hanging pants and socks everywhere!
Hope G gets on ok tomorrow...Emily has her first PE lesson which should be fun!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -
Grrr on the ex - if he is not careful your two girls will turn round in a bit and tell him they never want to see him again as he obviously hates them.
I'm glad your daughter had a good day though - I hope today goes well as well! (how old is your 2nd daughter?)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Hiya,
Well spoken to the ex this afternoon, I gave him a (deservedly) hard time. He reckons he phoned but we didn't pick up...durrrr. I asked why he didnt ring my mobile, knowing it's always on and I always have it - he said he has to pay for calls to my phone!! B***dy pr@t, I told him he obviously didn't want to talk to g that much! I'd have spent whatever it took to hear how she got on! Hmm....
Dragon....my youngest is 9, she's now in Yr 5 at school, G is 11. And yes he wants to be careful as they're not daft and will see what he's like and realise where his priorities lie. he chose to move away, 1 1/2 hrs drive. G's told him she'd like him to move back, but nope, he wont!
Anyway, G had a good day, 1st PE lesson! Em and I nipped to Tesco and did the weekly shop, £35 I spent after using my £5 off voucher. Did buy E a pair of jeans, £7 which she does need. I had to take 4 pairs out of her drawers as too small.
Just doing their dinner now, Spag bol I had in freezer. I've had some banana loaf and bread so not very hungry!!!
Bye for now! Must update my sig later...I really need to sort out a new signature!0
