Now the old hands here still look into that chasm, but spit and listen for it hitting the bottom... while giggling, imagining which creditor it's going to land on.
This made me giggle as its so true

Hi, not too bad thanks. I sold loads of DVDs through Amazon so spent some of the weekend trying to get creative with packaging! Friends for dinner on Saturday was a bit expensive but it'd been planned for months so couldn't cancel. Phoned the customer who owes me money and he says he will pay this week. Haven't been to the pub, so saving on my "cash spending" !
Thanks for asking, you're very kind!0 -

Nice to hear you're doing ok. Well done on selling the DVD's. Let us know how you're doing from time to time. I'm still learning things on here even a few years after joining and you'll get good encouragement too.

Hi
Just a check in. How does it go?
Hi not too bad thanks, at the moment! I've raised a small amount of extra cash in the short term by selling off some bits on Amazon/eBay/Locally. Customer who owes me money should pay tomorrow, which means I can I hope get the taxman off my back for now. Then I need 6 months of hard slog and saving to get to the end of the year before the next tax bill is due, which may well be fatal for me, but some things can't be helped.
Thanks for asking!
The support I got from this site gave me the strength to face my problems and do my best to try to fix them, rather than continue to keep my head in the sand.
I'm really very grateful to you all and I'll continue to check in and participate regularly as I now feel part of this community. :j0 -
