Hi Merry - glad you're still here and fighting, but sorry to hear that you & OH didn't manage to work things out. His loss I reckon - time for you to take some "you time" now to get your head sorted. Those girls of yours have a crackingly good Mum!

Awww thank you so much!!!!! The four females in the house are definitely doing a lot of bonding - was DD2's birthday today and as normal started the day off telling each of them their birth stories whilst having a cuddle!!! :D

  • Off to council offices tomorrow with proof of identity, etc. I have applied for housing benefit, and council tax benefit so I can afford to rent somewhere for me and my girls. The waters are muddied somewhat as H is still living here, and the house is up for repossession, so no idea what will happen  Will keep you informed.

  • Paperwork all in - well sort of. The letter says they need copies, so I took them copies. No, no they meant they take copies - you need to bring them the originals  So sending in the originals this afternoon.

Off to another building for them to take more photocopies of other bits and pieces, but hopefully all worth it in the end.

Lil Merry had her first day at school today, and it seems to have gone well. Despite the fact that normally I am a watering faucet, I didn't cry when I dropped her off, although she did look incredibly cute in her uniform with her pristine white knee high socks, school shoes, etc. Of course, they don't look like that now - anyone would think she'd been wading through a field of mud the state of her socks now :rotfl::rotfl:

I still need the tenancy agreement back from the OR but don't want to blat them - will contact tomorrow if I have heard nothing back. Other than that, not a lot to report! :D
