Sunday 20th July 2008
Peaceful weekend.
Strange to think that pre-BR Saturdays were the day to go shopping - clothes, dvds, all sorts of things. Some needed, some just wanted. We don't do that now. I admit I have bought a few things off eBay but I keep careful track, and if it isn't a major bargain, then I don't even think about it!!
Next weekend I have the girls, while H is off to see his parents with his daughter. And I am already planning what we're going to be doing. Picnic in the garden, a trip to the park, some chill time together. But it struck me that it's very similar to when I split from my first husband. Every weekend with my girls was a 'free' weekend - we went to the library and borrowed books, walked to the park, made scrummy lunches, and 'pot-luck' cooking from what was left in the fridge.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's nice to be back to square one - to have no money and need no money. To go out and just enjoy being together. Part of me wishes we were going off to Brum to see family - I miss my Marmee so much - but there's nowhere for us to stay, and we need to put money aside for some stuff that's going on in August so no travel-lodge or anything like that.
As I move into another week, I really am feeling blessed, not something I would have said before with a 1,000 lbs of stress on my head. :AGet free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

It's funny isn't it how we easily we forget how the simple things are the most fun. Have a good week and hope you enjoy your weekend.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

If you can all squash into a bedroom with a single bed and a chair bed - you can come and stop with me, 'cos I live in Brum. The kitchen is a disaster area though.LOL:DDeb Bankrupt 04/07/08 12.15pm
