just got an answer on the phone still very unhelpful with a delivery date asked to speak to someone up the ladder, came back with we will call you tomorrow with a delivery date? won't hold my breath. did threaten to cancel the order through my credit card company and said i will not be paying the10% cancellation fee. this company is hard work not recommended

Have they called back with a delivery date yet?
  • got my mattress at last after 2 weeks not bed for 24 hrs delivery. ask the driver if he got grief from people when he was delivering he said all the time. he reports back clients comments but nothing is done shame really you only want to be told the truth don't mind wait if told that is the case.
  • I ordered from the same company nearly one month ago!.
Every so often I get a phone message telling me to expect it the next day (between 7am and 10pm). I make complicated arrangements to make sure someone is here but no delivery. Then I'm told there is a problem with the manufacturer. Then again a delivery date the following day. Still no sign of an actual mattress yet. I keep calling the 0845 number. Their machine picks up ( no doubt charging us for the privilege ) but no-one ever picks up.

Unfortunately I paid with debit card (stupid I know). I'm starting to get quite annoyed with them and worried that I have lost my money.

Is it worth getting in touch with the trading standards people?....Can they actually do anything? Maybe Watchdog might be interested if enough people write in.

Does anyone know if you have any protection with Debit cards, like you do with credit cards?

Otherwise Trading Standards would be a good move.

Yes, most people don't realise, but debit cards often give the same protection as credit cards. Call the bank and ask.
  • The mattress has FINALLY arrived. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Big relief. :T

But had to spend a lot of time on the phone and emailing and worrying that I'd lost my money so I won't be ordering from them again.

  • I have had the very same experience with this firm. I am also trying to get my money back and everything you say about them is true. I was also duped into rushing to order due to their fake SALE and AFTER ordering I read their Terms and Conditions. Apart from the refund issues I also found that their so called 5 year guarantee wasn't worth a damn. In the first year they only refund you 90% and it goes down dramatically each year until in year five you get a measly 10%. Be warned and stay well clear of them.

I placed an order for a memory foam topper in June for my pregnant partner.
It was late a night when i placed the order and when she awoke in the morning she say she wasnt prepared to wait for it to arrive and that she was going to purchase one that day.

Fair enough i called the company at 9am and asked for the order to be cancelled. A week later i still hadnt had my refund. They stated to me that on their web site it says that refunds can take upto 28 days

Not happy with this as i had cancelled before any order was processed (less than 10 hours after placing it) i contacted my credit card company (tesco so RBS) who were less than helpful just simply stating that as i had cancelled the order there was nothing they could do.

I have already fired off a complaint to trading standards with several points like-

their web site always advertises that their sale finished on the day you are viewing the web site so hence pressure to make you purchase etc.

The fact they are trying to charge a restocking fee where this appears to be illegal under distance selling rules.

Every item on their web site appears to be under a sale but have they actually any proove that they have ever sold or advertised the stock at full price.

Trading standards are being there usually poor service in apart from i got an achknowlegement i have no other communication from them.

Finally 28 days was up today and i still havent had a refund.
I will phone the company up in a second but i am at a loss of what to do next to get my money back. HELP!!!!!

You will find this is the case with almost all long guarantees. Although most give 100% in the first year.

I think they may need reporting to the advertising standards council (if that's what they are still called.
