    55 in a 30.

if it was up to me that would be a custodial sentence.

    thankfully its not then.
a custodial sentence for speedng but murderers and rapist on the streets, get real.

55 in a 30 may still only carry the minimum, 3 points and £60 fine.
i know, i got caught at 50 in a 30, 3 points and £60 fine for me.( let the flogging begin!)
if there was no fine issued at the time when the police stopped her then it is looking like court.

Love it! 'Greed Camera' is my favourite! Makes the police look bad - but it is the government that gets the 'dosh'!! Nothing new there then......

You need to open your eyes and see there is a lot worse things on the road than someone exceeding the speed limit.

LIKE WHAT ? only prats + idiots speed they all deserve to have their licences revoked for a minimum of 1 year after being caught, a second time it should be withdrawn permanently ! no one is forced to speed and if you are not capable of reading your speedo then you probable should not be driving anyway.

your mate needs a solicitor. End of. I work with a bloke who helped out someone in a similar situation who'd have been totted up and lost his licence and blieve me it wasn't cheap but for about £400 he got him just the three points. I know solicitors aren't great (joke - why don't you see solicitors on the beach? Because cats cover them with sand) but they really can help argue your case.
Ring a local firm they should recommend someone who specialises in motoring.. we get referrals from tons of other local firms.

    Calm down...

    Keith has a valid point.

Going too slow is also dangerous. Most of the dangerous stupid drivers i see on the road each day, has nothing to do with speed. And speed camera's are a menace, most police officers would agree - they distract you from your driving and surroundings, think about it. Its not rocket science.
