Thanks, what i try to do is say the min payment is £53 i round it up to £60, i figure its got to be doin something and as you say it mounts up over the year! am feelin better already
I'm really really gonna make an effort, am thinking about asking to go onto full time nights at work (only work 20 hours at the mo) which will nearly double my income and still no child care to pay for would be really tired but can sleep when OH gets home from work and when LO goes to preschool i reckon i could do it, I dont sleep very well at the moment anyway worrying about the debts so may as well be working at least then theres some chance of paying them off
I think thats a grat idea hun. It doesnt sound like too much to take one and it seems like you've thought about how to work it around the family. My mum used to work nights and would come home in the morning, see us off and then when we had gone she would go to bed, and then get up when we came back home again, and it seemed to work out:o
Rounding up the payments is a good idea as well, I try to do that where I can. If i check online as well and theres like 2366.35 outstanding, and Ive got some spare I will pay off the 6.35, something about round numbers always makes you feel better :rotfl: No matter how much it is, its all going the right way and thats whats important to remember :AWealth is not measured by currency0 -
I agree round numbers are sooo much easier to deal with lol!!!
Well what i do is if there is say £278.54 in the bank i transfer the £8.54 over to this savings account i have it is an immediate transfer so Oh doesnt even realise its gone!! lol!!! I save this money for petrol, food etc, might start saving more and paying it off the debts :T
Have just done a review on dooyoo up to 2085 points have only done 3 reviews so not to bad :j
Have just booked my works crimbo do theres only 4 of us but am really excited now

Thats a good idea as well.
As much as I would love to have some savings going, with the stress of debts and job uncertainty I want the debts paid down as much as possible.
Am thinking about applying for a 0% credit card. the last one I applied for I was approved for, and that will run out in march, so just starting to think about what I can do to control the interest before that all happens.
Am scared to apply though just in case I dont get it.
Have written 2 reviews so far today on Dooyoo, ideally I would like another 3 done today, and that will go some way to making up for the days where I havent done any. Am now up to 16k miles, and am thinking of new things to review so thats good.
For some reason our sky tv is not working and it did this the night before last and I just cant be bothered to ring sky, will leave it for darling husband when he gets home. In a way its almost nice because it has meant i have sat here and written those 2 reviews, and i definitely feel more chilled out without the tv on.
Need to do some tidying up now and then will hopefully do another review, oh and at some point i might get dressed as well LOLWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Managed to find the motivation (and boredom) to get some laundry done, washing up done, and my 2 reviews earnt me quite a few miles on dooyoo so quite happy with that.
Need to think about what I can create for dinner tonight.... might be a bit of a mish mash.
Our asda delivery is due tomorrow morning and spent £35 on it and ive also written a meal plan which should cover us for 2 weeks, just need to stick to it
Our furniture is being delivered tomorrow as well so need to tidy up in the bedroom ready for those to go in.
Could be a busy evening in the CAFC household xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
evening lovlies! how r we all?
Talking of electricity bills... while i worked in a museum last year our electric bills always seemed way more than it should given i was always carful of when electric was on etc I even phoned them a couple of times to query it and they always said the bill was right, anyway, at a board meeting last night it turns out that the boggers were over charging us to the tune of £1.5K for the year! shocking!
anyhoo enough boring ramblings i need to get listing on ebay. Hope your keeping well Caf xx0 -
God thats shocking!
Hope the museum got that back sharpish... well it probably wasnt sharpish as we all know electric companies are quick to take your money but they drag their heels when giving it back.
Ive managed to do 3 reviews in total today, not the 5 i was aiming for but just lost my motivation today rather quickly.
Dinners made, and darling husband is fed and now reading a book, and I need to sort out the space in our bedroom to get the furniture in there come tomorrow xxWealth is not measured by currency0 -
I had to laugh at the chocolate bar incident - even though I completely sympathise! When I told OH we were having £30 a week each he threw a bit of a strop then complained about his lunch I made him so I told him he could make it himself or buy it out of his £30. I soon got a grovelling apology and a clean kitchen out of it! He's seen the light now thank goodness! I think it helped that I put it in terms of things we can do when we're debt free and have money saved like have a proper holiday or get a new tv (not that we need one - my big old box that was £15 from Cash Converters 4 years ago does the job perfectly well!). I see it as dangling a carrot in much the same way as sexy underwear works - men are simple creatures sometimes!!!0

Hi everyone!!!
Well only managed the one review yesterday was really busy sorting LO bedroom out for his new bed, he loves it!!!!
so in a while gonna have a bath, bath LO take him to school, come home quick clean up then gonna do 3 reviews!!! deffo!!!!
Got the dreaded meeting with my boss tonight i'm scared shes really scary!!! Anyway just gonna get it over with at the end of the day i have done nothing wrong am just being taken for a mug!
Well done on the shopping and meal planning cafc i'm soooo gonna have to do that i think, gonna do a list of everything in the freezer and the cupboards and take it from there, I think our problem is how much we spend on milk and bread, milk is now £1.65 for a 4 pint and £1.29 for decent bread, we buy milk every over day and bread every day really thats £15.63 a week arghhhhh, think i'm gonna start goin to asian wholesalers for my milk for a 4 pint its only 83p and might invest in a breadmakerwill have a look for one later think it will deffo be a good investment xx
