awww honey dont say that! you know very well theres been good times in the last three months! itll get better i promise. a good night sleep and OHs mood will get better. some times you cant help but being in a foul mood after bad news and i should know!! but, itll fade. allow yourself to be angry. punch some cushions or something it really does help!!! allow yourself to get it out of your system and then think of your wedding day. im sure it was one of the happiest days of your life. and then think why it was, what it meant to you. saying those vows, all of it. and also think why you married him. because youve found your soulmate and in good times AND bad, your planning your future together. a long happy future. remind him of this if you think itll help. talk about the day, or any good times youve had. have a laugh or better yet, have an "early night" and show him how much you love him... men like feeling "appriciated" whether its by a good meal or an early night

Oh sorry to hear about OH not getting in the fire brigade. For such a silly reason too - bloomin' demographics! We're individuals not pigeons to be holed!!!
Hope your weekend goes better for you (both of you!) - hugs. xx0 -
Awww thanks all.
Am feeling a bit better now DH isnt in such a mood.
Cooked a massive dinner as well so being well fed helps the mood!
Im sure the feeling will lift shortly, hate feeling like this though, just recently has felt like one blow after another and I just want some good news for once!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
CAFC so sorry about your OH not getting into the Fire Brigrade.
My hubby was mortified when he was first turned down by the Police. He was so angry and said he would never try again etc etc
A few years later he applied again and got in and now he is the happiest in a job I have ever known him to be. I suppose what I am saying is to tell him not to give up. Try other areas if he can.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Thats quite amusing, my DH absolutely hated being in the police for about the last 6 months of his career, but that was more office politics than anything else:rotfl:
We figured out 3 brigades that he can apply for when they start to recruit which would be a win win for us, as I could stay with my job, and he'd be in the brigade.
Its just really disheartening that when he applied for Cumbria, he got in, gave the same answers to London but doesnt get in....me thinks something is amiss there!
Got an inspection of our flat this morning apparently (if they turn up) im not entirely sure what to expect as Ive never had to deal with one before. its all relatively tidy but I havent really done much cleaning of things, like inside the oven etc, oh well, just see what happens i guess.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Hi CAFC, just returned to the site, I'm not back in debt but I'm definitely heading in the wrong direction, so needed to remind myself how to cut back.
Spotted your post and have spent the last couple of days working through it, I really enjoyed your last diary, and I've laughed and cried along with you reading this one too.
It's good to have you back on the forum, and I'm so sorry for your loss, I went through the same thing in July, I had a friend who had been through it twice and speaking to her helped me a great deal, if you do want to talk to anyone else then feel free to PM me.
The positive thing that I see you've got from such a terrible time is, that you both know what you want and have a plan to get there, your positivity and sense of humour was always an inspiration to me, and I see you still have those. Good luck with everything.

Awwww
Just sat here and had a little weep into my hot chocolate...
Despite not really "knowing" a lot of people, irl or on here, it always amazes me that people would ever want to post responses to me, to offer me help, guidance, a shoulder to cry on etc, I guess what i mean is.... I really love each and every one of you for supporting me and being there for me considering, all you know is whats on the screen in front of you and people can see enough of the real me in that to feel like they want to help in some way, and that just blows me away.....Wealth is not measured by currency0
