Morning hun glad to hear you had a better day yesterday on the sick front. Long may it continue
Have a good day.
Thanks hun
Confess that I've only just pulled myself out of bed, had some stomach cramps and couldn't get comfortable, so stayed in bed and dozed a bit more
OH has got another payment for an ebay item so taken himself off to the post office to post. so far so good on the ebay front.
Only small difficulty is he's been paid in cash for some, so the money is sitting in the house, and i dont want him to spend it, so must either get him to put it into the bank, or hide it in a money pot somewhere and hope he forgets about it :rotfl:
Just gonna go and get my numbers together and report back :AWealth is not measured by currency0 -
26th August
Incoming £1146.74 Wages
£50.31 Payrise backpay
Fixed Outgoing
£450 Rent/Bills Account
£50 Debt repayment account
£26 Sky
£19 Mobile phone
£7 Interest on overdraft
£47 MBNA credit card (overpayment)
£17.13 IF credit card minimum payment
£10 Abbey Zero credit card minimum payment
So thats £626 which will be coming out of my account.
The rest of the debts are being paid out of our debt repayment account which OH is covering this month as I'm paying the rent, so he's paying the debts. Which to be honest most of them are his anyway.
I decided to make an overpayment to my MBNA from my account just to feel like we're not just treading water, and the two other minimums I've always paid from my account anyway as I never got round to organising the DD's...
So that should leave £520
I'm going to say £180 for food this month. I know this could be less, and its mostly my fault because since I've had the morning sickness I just eat whatever I feel like I can manage, which means getting something out. When the sickness goes, I'll be back on the ball with that one and hopefully work to a £125 budget.
So that then leaves £340. I know I've got to pay an outstanding bill from my old flat of £89, so gonna leave £100 overhanging to pay that when I get the letter. Then I've really got to get my !!!! in gear getting that deposit back! Been like 18 months since I lived there.....and I owe my mum the money so need to get it together
So I'm left with £251, not inc the wages overpayment.... now I'm thinking I'll leave a £50 buffer, and use the £50 pay rise payment to put in the baby pot, so £200 to slap my IF card with..:T
I dont think there's anything I've forgotten......:rolleyes:Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
My god.... took me 30 seconds to realise.

Feeling a little bit rough this morning but think its because my stomach was empty, so just had some breakkie and waiting for that to settle then got to get dressed and hope on a train to go and see my mum...
Not looking forward to a bumpy old ride on south eastern railways but alas Primark is calling me :jWealth is not measured by currency0 -
OK forgot that I increased my payment to our rent account to £500 not £450 so that mans £50 less for the overpayment.
On plus side checked all the figures again and all the debts are paid this month, including an overpayment to my MBNA card and to my I.F card.
Another plus went shopping yesterday and aside from being absolutely knackered come the end of the day and feeling a bit rough had a really good day.
And went with £50 and came back with £30+, My mum bless her paid for pretty much everything.
Got some cheap foodie bits in a 99p shop in my mums town centre, they dont have any where I live, too posh round here LOL.
And then we got for baby...........
Sleepsuits
Body suits
Pram blankets
Hooded towel
Carry sling
Sleepbag
Bibs
Socks
Scratch mittens
And possibly some other stuff Ive forgotten LOL.
Mum is storing it at her house as we dont really have room here, but was a good day and dont think we spent more than about £50 so pretty bountiful day.
Mum has also won a pram/combi on ebay from a local seller and won it for £10! So its all good on the baby shopping front
Had a first appointment with midwife which seems fine. Now just waiting for a letter for 1st scan and blood tests and then wont see the midwife till 16 weeks, Oct 16th, which now seems like ages away!
Should get an appointment for scan/bloods etc within the next 3 weeks, according to midwife but we'll see.
Havent felt too bad today but did have a nap for about an hour this afternoon. Back to work 2moro which seems a bit bleurgh after 3 days off but Im in tomorrow and then off again sunday so not too bad. Plus I have more staff with me on a saturday so the day goes quicker.
Have to write my letter for my employer as well to let them know Im pregnant so they can do a health and safety assessment and get some information for me. Am a bit annoyed because my line manager (who I had a disagreement with a few pages back) told my board of directors and other store managers against my wishes so part of me feels like I should complain but then I dont think its gonna make any difference... she's just not aware of what she should/shouldnt say to people and isnt HR trained so in relation to me being pregnant she really hasnt got the foggiest.
Oh well, am gna try and load up on some liquid now as I really dont feel like eating and MW said I need to be drinking 3l a day! I'm gonna look like a bleeding colander if I drink that much! LOL
Hope everyone is well, sorry taken me a wee while to update. I get excited this time of the month because it means the payments will come out soon and I can see the money go down and update my snowball and my siggy.
Had a bit of a cry earlier though with our snowball as its got 52 months before we are debt free.... now 52 didnt sound like much to me till I realised that there are 12 months in a year!
Before all this hassle with OH's job etc, we were at 23 months, and now it just feels like we're practically going backwards!
On a small plus though he has found out that he passed the pyscho (LOL) part of his fire service application and has progressed to the physicals. He's now worried about his eyesight though as he know he will fail one count but we're not sure if one failure means total failure or if they will review it based on the individual....
Oh and from his interview last week for a full time sales job, he's now got a trial day next wednesday. So that would be good.Would roughly be about 800 or so a month.... meaning we could get some extra to the debts and not be struggling too much.
Still feel a bit low today, not sure if its coz i was pretty excited this morning about seeing midwife or what...and now just on a come down getting back to real life.... just feeling bleurgh....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Evening! glad you had a good day with yer mum! (does she still come on the boards)
fab about the OH and his trial. will keep everything crossed for him but if he's got a trial its bound to be a good sign.
is there anyone he could ask about the eyesight test for the fire service? i have a friend who's in the service i could ask him if you like.
hope you have a good weekend x0 -
If you could ask that would be great.
All we need to know is if one fail on the 8 sections means total fail or if you're allowed a fail on one count and then they review what count it was etc.
I keep telling him to carry on going for it, when he's there, he'll find out for sure but he shouldnt give up till he's told to basically
Not sure if Mum has been on the boards much.. she might be lurking in the midst....
Have only just decided to try something a bit more solid... so OH and I are having custard LOL watching the footie while I catch up on here.
Am feeling a bit overheated as well, which makes me feel quite icky too, so OH has the fan pointed on me... he's trying, bless himWealth is not measured by currency0 -
aww bless. he should definately go for it anyway - nowt to lose and all that. i'll email mate now and see what he says.0

Had an ok day at work yesterday except being really quiet, and it was FAR too hot... felt quite faint in the afternoon, even though we have air con it doesnt do much when we've just got loads of sunlight coming through a fully glass fronted shop!
Today slept till half 12 LOL, did go to bed a bit later last night, but obviously my body needs it.
Got to wait until friday for my next day off which now feels like it might be a bit of a struggle!
Monies all seem to be ok at the moment, although I may have to lower my overpayment again (not happy) as my longest running member of staff is leaving so we're going out for a meal, and want to get her a nice present.
We dont do it very often as a team (even though theres only 6 of us) but we're a tight knit bunch so nice to make the effort. I think about £20 for meal and drinks and probs £10 toward present and card will be ok.
Looking forward to a few more payments coming out. Going to do food shop online again as well so we dont spend too much on junk (especially because of me and random cravings thats I get) looking at spending around £55 mark, which should last a good fortnight excluding top ups. Plus I'm eating lighter meals more often so not spending so much on bigger things..Wealth is not measured by currency0
