Agh! I'm really really confused, I read the article and thought i was doing everything right but didn't get any success but, i clicked on 'check your request' and have 3 of my checks there (i tried 2 different cities) and on the first one it takes me to an error page that my card wont work... but I didn't get any successes so i don't understand why it's asking me to rectify my card details! I've emailed priceline concerning it but haven't even received an email confirming they received my email. Ooh I's soo confused- please help! :( thanks!

Did you get the "message that your bid has not been accepted?"

but, i clicked on 'check your request'

Why?

and have 3 of my checks there (i tried 2 different cities)

and on the first one it takes me to an error page that my card wont work...

Could you explain a bit better???

but I didn't get any successes so i don't understand

why it's asking me to rectify my card details!

Please explain

If I only understood what the actual problem is I'll try to help :D

What PL site are you using (dot com or UK?)

What credit card are you using??

What address have you used for your profile?

What was your bidding process (Star level, city, first bid etc)

Yeah, i've only seen 'your bid has not been accepted' or, that they haven't found a deal yet check back later which is why i clicked that check your requests button.
I'm using a barclays visa debit.
we were unable to authorize your credit or debit card and could not process this request. Your card has not been charged for Request Number 638-186-941-68.
etc is what is coming up
I've done all different bidding processes and have 3 requests when i go on to the check requests page one of which is unsuccesful and the other 2 with the card issue.
I guess i'm best off waiting and seeing if I hear from them? :s
hope you understand it better now- i'm truely confused! :/

Ok I've got it now :D

Seems a tad odd that your first bid was not accepted -which means everything was in order, then the next two your card was declined.

It's not unheard of that the Priceline site throws a wobbly so yes, if you have time wait to see if you get an answer.

Were you using the UK site?

Double check you have filled out the address details correctly for the UK site.

After the 24 hrs has passed then try again to see if you get the same result.

success!!! -

£50 a night for the 4* NH Brugge (Bruges) (3 nights total incl fees -£167)
£40 a night for the 4* NH Brussels City Centre (1 night total - £47)

They look like nice hotels, well reviewed and much nicer than the £70 2* ones i was looking at, I only wish I had bid a bit lower at first, they were my first experimental bids...

Hi, I've been looking to bid on hotel in Bristol UK, for 19th September. I wanted a 4* as otherwise the options may take me too far away from the city centre. However, I had a bid rejected yesterday - so thought I'd increase my bid by a couple of quid today. The site is asking me to change areas or star rating - I thought I could have another go after 24 hours?

You should be able to rebid 24hrs after your last bid.

Sometimes the PL web-site is buggy and won't let you.

Have you tried since?

tried earlier this evening (which was probably 20 hours) and it said I couldn't rebid - will leave it until tomorrow and give it another go. Problem is that there aren't that many hotels in Bristol and I'm reluctant to go to a 3* and end up with the Ibis.....thanks for your help.

Reported hotels from Betterbiidng have been

5* Bristol Hotel
4* Bristol Royal Marriott
3* Thistle REVIEW

From BFT

4 Star
Marriott City Centre LINK TO HOTEL REVIEW
Marriott Royal LINK TO HOTEL REVIEW

Not much to go on in reviews etc but these look like the main suspects.
