I have used the .com website successfully with a Uk address. Enter your UK address and in ZIP CODE enter 00000 or 99999.
.....
Also, always write or phone directly to the hotel if you need a specific bed arrangement.
Another is tip is always book a suitable back up hotel which you can cancel when you've got your priceline hotel booked.
All points are cover in my GuideI did the first time I got a $300 room for $80! Go on, do it, it works!Best deals on priceline are done one to 2 months before your date of travel.
Some hotels wait until the literally last minute whilst others regularly release rooms to priceline many months in advance.
Glad you got some bargains though!0 -
honestly..... erm.. .no, as i'm not a member of that forum....
you can mention it though if you want to..
£65 per night bid, (£130, plus less than £30 priceline fees etc!)
4* London

One of the FAq's of Priceline
From my guide
When to bid, early or late?
There is no good answer to this question.
Some great hotels load their Priceline inventory months in advance.
Others only load inventory or their best rates shortly before the dates.
Bid as soon as your dates are firm, but the lowest bid you’ve found with your research.
If you aren’t getting what you want, don’t keep bidding and raising your price through impatience. Stop bidding and make a cancellable backup.
Watch the two forums for winning bids in your city\zone and or wait until about one month to three weeks out, then bid more seriously

Can someone help me? I'm completely new to priceline and need a hotel for 3rd june for 1 week in barcelona, as cheap as possible for a nice , central hotel . Have tried £30 a night - is this too low?? Didn't come up with anything for 4 or 5 star (mabye I'm being too optimistic.) Also, am I trying too early perhaps?0

Check results on www.biddingfortravel.com and www.betterbidding.com. Barcelona is as far as I know a city where it is not so good to use Priceline compared to other cities.0 -
And while we're on the subject Hotwire aslo is an opaque bidding site that can save money on Hotels
Have used Priceline extensively in the USA and found it to be of massive help. I've stayed in hotels I wouldn't dream of paying full rack rate for.
I have also used Hotwire once and, with decent help from betterbidding, it's usually possible to identify the hotel. I saved 50% on a stay at the Sheraton Suites, San Diego as Priceline simply wasn't giving me the deals I usually get.0 -

Basically Priceline does not tell you what additional charges might be incurred it just has a general policy in that you may have to pay for additional services. We have booked a 10 day stay in Las Vegas and got a room the the Trump Plaza for £87, however priceline failed to telll us that there is an additional $14 per day charge for parking so the deal isn't that good, especially when all the other hotels have free self parking.
THEREFORE BEWARE OF ADDITIONAL CHARGES THAT MIGHT BE INCURRED OR STAY AWAY FOR PRICELINE LIKE I WILL.
£87 a night for Vegas?!?!? Anyway, IIRC, Priceline does stipulate that fees are not included. A simple review of betterbidding or biddingfortravel would have provided greater insight into what fees are or are not included... as would reviewing tripadvisor for the hotels won via Priceline in Vegas.
Parking is rarely included... My stays at various hotels in America, especially those downtown have all included additional parking charges sometimes up to $25 a day.
That said, Vegas is an awesome city, don't let this get to you and enjoy your holiday.0 -
Wow, thanks Blindman, I'm made up.
I read and heeded your guide (yet forgot to go through a betterbidding link) and this noob saw the cheapest price on there of $55 so started at $53 and it was accepted first time (£35 + £8).
4 stars in Brussels! Couldn't find a 2 star for that.
Cheers!0
