  • How do I go about changing the title for this thread? I think something like "On A Mission's road to BR" would be better seeing as I'm using it as a diary.

if you started the the post...and if my memory is right to change the title of a post you need to click edit twice on your first post in the list, that should then offer you the chance of changing your post or just changing the heading

  • Blimey, the phone calls are coming thick and fast now to both landline and mobile but I'm not answering them as I could do without the stress. Anything starting 08 is getting left for the answerphone to deal with but without the option to leave a message. There's still just over 5 weeks until our court date so I guess it's only going to get worse - I might just turn the ringer off to be honest so that I can still make calls. It's not like I get many personal calls anyway to miss, just parents and hubby who know how to reach me.

We've had a couple of default notices through now and MrO has already been contacted by a couple of DCAs - can you believe one of them tried to sell him a loan!!? I'm hoping none of our creditors will be able to mobilise in time to get any CCJs in the pipeline, after all, we've had our court date booked for almost a month already and that was the earliest available date.

Anyway... I'm waffling again. If anyone could look over my I&E posted above and let me know your thoughts, I'd be grateful.

Just had a quick look at your I&E and the thing that jumps out at the moment is the car.

You are spending a lot on it to maintain and run it and not really using it and it is worth a lot of money. I feel the OR will have the car. You would be better off with a lower value car.

Have you taken advice on the selling of the premium bonds?

Desparadiso check here to see if your local county court does BR.

Ring them and ask for a date in October to suit you.

Oh no the one just up the road from us doesn't, bother! So the one we'll have to go to isn't far, but I go there all the time for work... although that is the family court section (that deals with Care Proceedings etc), so hopefully it is highly unlikely that it will be a judge I know- one would assume they are fairly specialised??

    Thanks.

My biggest fear with changing the car is having to replace the carseats and roofbox plus we need a reliable car for visiting family (Scotland to Southampton with 2 babies, one large dog and all the paraphernalia!) as well as for my business hauling boxes of books around. Expenses are £45 car insurance, £15 tax & £15 for maintenance/MOTs. We only use the car so little because MrO has a train pass for commuting and by me staying housebound as much as possible and only going on essential journeys - it means I've stopped going to playgroup and to see the in-laws regularly but I'd love to get a bit of a life back!!

Do you think I need to take advice on my premium bonds? It's only £300 so thought it a better use of the money to get my old car fixed up and sold to help with all the fees and moving into rented. Is that another CCCS job or more of a legal one?

If it is only £300 then you may be fine but I would definatly ring CCCS a ring in the morning and check with them.

You are really going to have to make a very good case to keep the car and I think the visiting of reletives will not be counted.

Have a read of these articles from Fermis sticky

What will happen to my car? (MSE)

OR's Case Help manual - Motor Vehicles (March 2007)

    They might help a bit.
