  • im having trouble with them currently, spent £79 online last night ordering ps2 and singstar games for me and my daughter, registered for an account, ordered my items, paid etc etc kept the page open to refresh occasionally an check status, it was on picking stock, then when i went to refresh it had 'logged me out' and when i went to log back in in says my email that i signed up with isnt recognised on their database. Have emailed them twice as the money appears to be leaving my account, and they have just replied asking for my account number or order number-problem is i didnt write down either so have neither!!! have just emailed them back saying this, but there is definately an order gone through as it went to stock picking. i would just like to know whats going on with it as i really want this for xmas for me and my daughter!! bloody wish i'd gone to a shop now!!

    You probably typed your email address wrong when you registered. You get an order confirmation right after you place the order, so you should be able to get the order number from that email.

    If you didn't get the email they probably sent it to the email address you registered with, which you probably mistyped, and that is why you got no order email or allow you to login with it.
  • I ordered something from cex online a few weeks ago. I encountered a problem when I didnt recieve an order confirmation. However they have taken the money from m y account via paypal, but I am yet to get a response from the customer service team or any acknowledgement of my order! Anyone know what I can do?

    Login to your account on their website and see if your order is listed in your account and at what stage it is at. (stock picking, completed, ready for dispatch, dispatched etc).

    I sold two items to cex which they signed for on 15th Dec i have made two emails asking where my payment is and they replied asking me for tracking number which i then supplied. they have now admitted they have the items but still i have no money.
    There is no way of getting in touch other than the email facility which they often take days to answer if at all, what can i do to get my money ?

    Went into the Grimsby one today after pricing up my W995 online as worth £84 to their prices. Gentleman did all the checks and the stuff and said we'd be looking at £84 and then asked me to come back in half hour after it'd been checked. Came back and it was ready and waiting and classed Grade B as expected - came out 5 mins later with the money. Very happy and it's about what I'd get for it (if not a tiny bit more) from ebay with all the ebay/paypal/next day delivery postage fees taken off.

  • Usually had good experiences buying from CEX. Games and DVD's always worked with the exception of one. Bought a PSP and that works ok too. However tried to exchange a Wii and various accessories but was told in Bradford and Leeds stores that there was no money in the tills. This was clearly a lie as the guy in the queue next to me was trading in a PS3 for cash...

    Hmmm...i just ordered a jiffy bag to recycle my old mobile Nokia 8800. Seems to have the best price :s. Am confused if i should send the phone now.....

    Don't expect to trade things instore and be able to buy things online using that trade in voucher...despite what the website says.
    Don't expect CEX to order items instore for you...despite what the website says.

    So if you trade stuff in hoping to get a specific game which the website say they have, don't. I did. I asked instore confirming how the website worked with the instore voucher and she said I could use my instore vouchers to buy online...I couldn't. Well, I could if I was willing to let CEX take the actual money, then me to send in my voucher, and hope that CEX refunded the actual cash. Woman instore didn't explain any of this. Also didn't explain that your first CEX online order, you can't even use the voucher. Such a ridiculous system.
