Trust me I know the French system in & out and it has been working just fine for them. Am not saying that if implemented here again he would work but people would be far less exposed to debt issues.

Mate stephane is alright - lol, you gotta stop being so hard on people - he has a valid point in that it used to work here, the days when you went and spoke to your bank manager who used to determine the credit you could obtain - put it this way, lot less personal debt then - than there is now.

In europe the levels of personal debt are a fraction of ours, cos we're all automated and a computer constantly makes wrong decisions - a human checking through your payslips doesn't make mistakes.....

    see what i'm saying?

Stephane has first hand experience so knows what he's on about - we can only assume how it works... :D:D

Think there's more to it than the decision making system alone. I could very easily provide all the evidence needed to get an obscene amount of credit for stoozing if all I had to do was produce paperwork. Hopefully there's a cultural factor, maybe not a million miles away from "how things used to be" where people had a different attitude to money and didn't spend way beyond their means without any regard for the consequences.

Of course there is more to it than that - its easy to fabricate documents etc but that was a very bland example....

The rest, I entirely agree with you on...... :D
