And this as well (sorry forgot to incude it in the post above):
Will my credit card application be credit scored? Yes - Credit scoring is a system used by most financial organisations to decide if they can give a person credit.
It works by using the information you include on your application form plus information held about you by a credit reference agency (in our case, a company called Experian). Each piece of information is given a 'score'. The scores are then added together and the total score is used to help decide whether to accept an application. A record of this search will be recorded on your credit file.0 -
I got searched by both, the lender only has to say they will use a CRA - they do not need to name which ones they use.
Its a fact mate, forget what they say - they have copied the terms from GE Money - they definitely 100000000000% search both!2010 - year of the troll

Nationwide search Experian and I heard they can be fussy - you will be ok though, surely? I'd think being your occupation, they will be fine....2010 - year of the troll

Youll be surprised NID I applied for a Nationwide account 2 years ago and I was declined.
I think it was because I had 2 late payments on credit file for my mobile phone bill :rotfl::rotfl:Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Hi all
Been reading about the forum lately that Barclaycard are now with increasing frequency using Experian.
It seems as if this is becoming standard practice for them so I'll add Experian to the Barclaycard entry on post #1.
It seems the list of companies exclusively searching Equifax is shrinking.

It seems this change from Barclaycard has happend in line with them changing the pre-application check to Equifax, can't bloody win!
I also think they must read this forum as well, as we are trying to stay savvy they are trying to keep one step ahead.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -

As I was saying earlier I must have been lucky as I have made 3-4 applications and they have all search Equifax.
I think it is safe to say the majority of times they will search Equifax however applicants must be aware that there is a likelihood of them searching ExperianBank Accounts - Barlcays Premier - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
