Some updates from my recent experience:

O2 contract phone (direct from o2 not CPW): Equifax AND Experian
Natwest Credit Card: Experian only (searched twice)
    Natwest Current Account: Equifax only
    Barclaycard: Equifax only
HSBC Credit Card: Experian and Call Credit
Lloyds TSB Credit Card: Experian only
    HSBC Loan: Experian only
Barclays Bank Account: Don't appear to have checked any CRA
OUSBA: claimed they'd check Experian but never did
    BT (for new landline): Equifax
Thats interesting about BT i didn't realised they searched, i take it you've moved or something?
You applied for a natwest credit card as well have you? were you successful?
And Natwest current account what did they say?
    who is OUSBA

Natwest credit card: This was back in July. They deliberated over me for more than a month. Finally they declined me for lack of credit history.

BT: I came back to BT after having been with another provider. They credit checked me when I came back. Then I brought my second line back to BT and they checked me yet again!

Natwest offered me a current account with large OD. I declined because I decided to go w/ HSBC instead.

OUSBA is the Open University's budgeting system which lets you Buy Now, Pay Later on Open University fees. I was taking some courses with them for fun

I heard that M & S Credit Card is a part of HSBC bank. Is it true ?
I have some accounts at HSBC.plus got credit card from them 3 months ago. Now, thinking of M & S credit card. if M & S credit card is a part of HSBC, then will it effect on my new credit card application ?
    thanks
  • If you already have an HSBC account, M&S automatically give you a credit card with a £50k limit. It's guaranteed. ;)
