I have just texted MSG100 to 21300
and recieved back this reply

Your request for MSG100 will be processed within 48 hour, You will recieve a confirmation text when your Bolt on begins.


Do I get charged out of my credit for this? I am slightly confused.

The answer to this question is probably no, but I'll ask it anyway. I've got the 50 xnetwork anytime minutes, would I be able to use this to phone the UK from Cyprus?

probably not, though don't say I promised

Likewise some of the initial 300 text bundles are not charged. My SIM had 300 texts and the calls50 options, and was the 2OMMSIMN version; I'd assume yours was the 2OVMSIMN one

with due respect to Muhamid for finding that the offer started early, the terms and conditions are published, and plenty of other people here have experience of using O2 SIM cards

@sparky61 - you'd be able to use various call-through providers to call Cyprus from here, but not the other way round. Ususally it is worth thinking about getting a local SIM card in an unlocked phone, and looking into callback or calling cards

well as i said yesterday i got 300 free texts but when i got my free 2.50 for registering they have vanished!!

Thanks for the quick reply redux.
I'm only going to Cyprus for a week and just wanted to make the occasional call home. I'll probably end up getting a phonecard and using that.

I did this with a couple of my free sims. I had no credit on them as I had used it up. I got the message saying will be processed in 48 hrs etc. They can't charge you anything if you have no credit.
I got the calls50 ones on 4 more free sims that had no credit on and I got the bolt ons 2 days later. I just pressed 4444 and it took me to the bolt on balance page. 50 calls to be used between 24 Dec and 24 Jan and then another 50 for the following two months.

Yes it's the 20VMSIMN one - only just found out about this (a different loophole altogether than the one in this thread - if it is a loophole) - apparently though I've only got about 24 hours to use up the credit!
