Ive also got an 02 Contract, will I be entitled to a free bolt on with that? I think the contract is about 5 months old. If so, how would I go about it?
sorry for late reply,i think o2 Treat(for more than 6 months old sims)is available for both pay&go and pay monthly.see
1.O2 Treats are available to O2 consumer Pay Monthly and Pay & Go customers who have completed 6 months continuous tenure.....

while o2 joining treat is available only for pay &go customers.see
1.O2 Joining Treats Promotion is open to new O2 UK and Online Pay & Go customers.....

I registered a sim card and got the free £2.50 but it won't allow me to have the "Calls 50". I got a text saying "Your request for Call50 has not been successful as your tariff is ineligible. Please call Customer Service for info on upgrading your tariff on 08705678678".
I have previously got the Calls 50 on 2 sim cards, for my sons. Is this a blip? Is anyone else getting it? If they are I'll try again with another one. Still £2.50 is good, even if they have stopped the loophole.

Is your sim not older than 6 months?if not then you should send the 'calls 50'text again.(it happened with my one sim but when i sent the text again, i got my free minuts)I got free minuts on new sim yesterday so the loophole is still working.

  • This isn't actually a loophole, its a genuine O2 offer, I have just had four O2 sims posted for free, the letter says if I register them I get £2.50 credit then I quote ' while we are giving away free gifts you can also get one of our special bolt ons for free for the first three months, provided you register for it before 10th January'. So theres no need to worry about them pulling the plug on this, its just a cracking free offer open to everyone, so enjoy it while you can.

Yes it is a loophole, because O2 say to get the free bolt on offer you have to top up at least once.It was Muhamid who discovered that you didnt have to top at all,to get the free bolt on. ;)

    Have a @@ at the o2 T&C http://www.o2.co.uk/terms/joiningtreats/0,,600,00.html

Not according to the O2 letter I received with my sims, it says register it online for the £2.50 credit and then register for 3 months bolt on for free, it says you have to top up £10 if you want 300 free texts. Thats the way I read it anyway.
