    Evening all.

Great news here DH has got his permanent job after contracting for the past 11 months - huge releif as he really likes the job and has been very stressed at the thought of having to look else where.

DS1 has got his KS3 results - one is what I thought it would be, one is a grade higher than I thought it might be and one is a grade lower than he was predicted and achieved in his mocks. With all the controversy over them I'm not sure whether they are right or not. I'll drop a note into school to see what they think.

    Evening all
Glad this week is over and the weekend is tomorrow. I've spent all week rushing around trying to be everywhere and do everything.
Ended up at DS sports day today which was cancelled yesterday so I had to cram all the cleaning into this afternoon.
Next weeks not looking much better. Monday have to take DH to Heathrow so he can go to China again. Tuesday have to take DS to his pre-admission clinic at Oxford - taking DD with us because wouldn't be around for school drop off and pick up. Kids last day of school on Wednesday and then Thursday I've got physio for my stupid knee - will have to take the kids with me.

While DS1 finished dinner DS2 went out and picked all his carrots, I said he'd best see if there was any good ones before we go away and forget about them. Seriously he just threw a packet of seeds in so I wasn't holding much hope, we've had a couple of tiddlers from them. Anyway here's what he's come back with (he removed the greenery for me too) from his pot of carrots, they were short ones which I picked as he was using pots. I'll have to blanche some and freeze them I think.

LMAO - not swearing, just a complete broke/tight a@@ed woman who is trying to buy the gifts in the summer sales - in other words make the gifts look like I like the recipients more than I actually do

Furthermore having sat here all day reading other threads I am going to give making baskets of gifts a go..............so now all I need are cheap and cheerful fillers and one half price gift!

I am determined not to max out cc this year just because I leave it all to last minute and panic buy!
