Is anyone watching that Personal Services Required on C4

Think they are looking for slave not au pairs!

I watched it after you posted on C4+1. I felt quite sorry for the Russian girl actually. Chloe was lovely. The guy was good too, can't remember his name. That South African woman.

Well I'm going to sing my own praises today and say that I am most impressed with myself this week. I got up this morning thinking gotta do this, do that. But the house is looking pretty good overall!!:j Might get a weekend off for once.

Can't wait till tomorrow. DD breaks up from school which will make my life much easier over the next 7 weeks. No clock watching:j Plus DH has a lot of holiday to take so he can do his fair she of childcare over the summer. Never know, he might even get so bits done round the house that desperately need doing. Like DD bedroom. We're coming up to week 15 now:mad::rolleyes:

Crafty - How are the bookcases coming along?

Right off to fly will be back later. TTFN

    Morning all :hello:

Today is the last full day of school  DD's only in until 11.45 tomorrow as its the girl who died last weeks funeral at midday so they're ending early so teachers & pupils who want to attend can do.

Woke up this morning at 3am wide awake - realised I (a) hadn't emptied the kitchen bin and the binmen come at 7am on a Thursday  (b) Hadn't gotten DD's teacher anything, not even a card, to say thank you (c) a text message I sent last night to multiple people had been delivered as it was the noise of my mobile's delivery notification that woke me up :rotfl: Went back to sleep with no problem, though couldn't get up this morning again. :o

    Right, plan for today :
    • Dishes (after lunch or during a break)
    • ESSAY - just running a virus scan on my laptop before I start work as I was accessing alsorts of websites last night from it ;) 375/850 words so far :o
    • Card for DD's teacher from me
    • Card for DD's teacher from DD - she's written out what she wants to write (so I can check for spellings ;) ) then she's going to copy it into a card tonight in her best handwriting and in pen so she's really excited :rotfl:
    • Supervise DD making a necklace for her teacher (I love crafty gifts that get given to her ;) )
    • Find my clear nailvarnish (needed for the necklace making)
    • Find little clear bag things for the gift to go in.
    • Find trimming stuff (ribbon etc) for gift bag
    • Sort out DDs bag with her tomorrow - its toy day
I have a feeling there may be more than one necklace made tonight knowing DD:rolleyes:

Right, need to check a couple more things and start my essay when this scan has finished - the laptop runs too slow when its doing more than one thing and I end up swearing at it :o

    Catch up later

    Morning everyone

Quick wave. Didn't post yesterday as it was a bit busy. One of the boys were awake all day. Managed to do some dusting in the living room/dining room and swept the laminate floor. Then sister came to visit and brought 2 of my nephews with her, so the boys were playing out and i ended up cooking tea for 3 boys. All a bit crazy as 3 under 3s, plus an 8 yo. I did manage to do a bit of weeding while i was supervising them playing outside though.

Then yesterday evening, DH finally shook himself and printed out some photos for me, so i finished off the thanks cards for baby pressies, and got them posted, tried on my new dress, bought car tax online for DH's car, spoke to ILS on phone, and had DHs friend come round to collect some wardrobes we had in the garage, so all busy busy busy. I am shattered today as DH had to leave for work at 7am, so we were all up early.

mudbath sorry to hear you have been unwell, hopefully you recover quickly.

shell congrats on the job, hope DD1 feels a bit better before you go away and you get all those niggles sorted.

I haven't even managed to clean my teeth yet this morning, so i think that is next. Too many dirty nappies to change, and little boys to feed and wind.

    ;) Michelle, x

    Morning all

DD1 coughed a bit during the night but seemed much brighter this morning and wanted to go to school, so took that as a good sign. Droppped her off teacher said have you remembered its topic book day. So had to drop DD2 at nursery and then dash back to look at her topic book.

So have had a quick S&S around (even shined the sink - 1st time this week:o ). Have just put interview clobber on and am ready to go. I will try to sound positive at this interview - honest:o .

Can you all keep your fingers crossed that the childminder I have contacted about looking DD2 for the month she does funny hours when she starts school can fit her in. She is the only really decent one I have seen, she must be good 'cos she looks after several of the teachers kids - plus she used to work at the school. She is gonna let me know this pm. Got the last week of the summer hols sorted thanks to the holiday club (which I need to pop and see the lady about later this afternoon).

I have also booked the taxi for Monday and the train tickets turned up this morning so another 2 things crossed of the list. Oh! the insurance people have now sent a cover note for me driving Dads car with the correct spelling of my surname (3rd attemp:mad: ) so thats another thing to cross off too.

Well quick wee and then I am off to this interview, which according to the AA will take me 12 mins to get too, obviously they dont allow for tractors:rolleyes: .

    Right later my lovlies.

Pollybear hope the aches have calmed down a bit this morning
Soappie, these good will gestures annoy me aswell.
Triker hope you feel better soon
Was just reading through weller's thread, another one who ended up in tears, I remember her recently saying they believed Andy was in remission, such a shock.
MrsV wow everythings going so fast for you, hoping that everything goes smoothly.
Shell well done!! Knew you could do it!!
Tash I hope your DS settles well at his new school.
poohbear thanks, I wish I could do that, last year was hard during the summer trying to study and I was doing half the amount of studying (and no exams) problem is noone will usually take DS1 when it comes to kids clubs, DS2 sometimes goes to activities but I have to pay extra for additional support workers usually.

Got my assignment handed in yesterday, didn't 'complete' it but did my best in the 2 weeks I had, I now have another due in another 2 weeks....argh....

However much studying I need to do I need to clean and tidy today, shopping needs doing aswell, hoping DP will help but will have to wait and see really. DS1s off today still for strike days, then back for one day tomorrow.
One day I might be more organised...........
