Another quote successfully achieved - £100 less than current renewal and almost identical cover.

Checked all online banking and revising interest rates.

Feeling a little bit more awake now so going to get the living room wiped and and the downstairs cloakroom done and then downstairs is finished.

Thinking of taking DS1 for a haircut after school but may wait until Monday as DS3 will still be in school so wont have to come with us.

    Afternoon all
Think my batteries need recharging – not sure what happened to yesterday – it sort of vanished (and I think I might have been grinding my teeth in my sleep)
Still only got the one bookcase put together. Trying to sort out the stuff to go in it. Funny how you find the stuff you have isn’t “stuff” but carp and other “stuff” isn’t carp but since you had forgotten you had it, it might just as well be IYSWIM.:rotfl:
Good luck with studying nicki and lil-me.
Lil-me If DH is not studying he can learn to fly.;)

Well back in one piece and £30 lighter. No trainers in the sale (think I missed the good stuff) so £26 for "flashing" things and conned into £2 each from sun hat and sunglasses:rolleyes: .

Also popped onto Woolies and got some uniform stuff. DD2 is gonna get DD1 hand-me downs (except for new polo shirts), gone for a £3 cardi as oppose to the £7.50 school version this time. At least if they get lost I wont be so miffed.

Just remembered the washing is still in the machine from this morning so best bung that in the TD before I head on out to find out about the after school club etc. The childminder phoned back and cannot fit DD2 in (boo hoo) so back to the drawing board. Problem is most of the ones I have seen at the schools are not what I want to leave my kids with. If I am paying I want perfection (IYKWIM).

erm... my willpower is powerless under the influence of alcohol..

rmc - I think pigpen decided that it was a lack of cups of tea that caused the problem rather than a surfeit of alcohol. I like her thinking.:D

    Hey.. it worked for me...
Oh silly me I forgot the medical problems lack of tea can bring.....teapnia!

Just an update of my list. Will be sitting out tomorrow's flying list. There's no point as the kids are sharing a room whilst DH decorates DD's bedroom. It really does look like WW3 has broken out in there. It's only taken him 15 weeks so far...and still counting.:mad: Think I might start running a book. Any one fancy a flutter?

Oh well P&Q has ended. DS is home. Catch you all later!!

    My oven is fixed.. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

back to school tomorrow for everyone.. WOOHOO... THOUGH it is DD1's last day until September so she will be home about 2pmish.. until 3rd September!! .. I might sneak her out shopping tomorrow afternoon rather than on Saturday actually.. She has £90 of birthday money to spend and I need some new bras.

Hubby will be home in about an hour.

I need to nip to docs to pick up DD3's new prescription.. she has been given the shampoo medicine in tablet form PLUS some other stuff to control her urine production at night.. something else to remember.. tablet in a morning.. melt thing at night.. and I have an alarm to try her with.. but think this might wake everyone in the house so will only use that as a very last resort.

right.. money to sort out.. I have a payment to make.. right now.. argh!.. I'll be skinted!
