Oh my goodness, can DD talk
We walked to the park, my mate knew a shortcut that I'd forgotten about
:rotfl: They ended up having a grass fight  Got home via Asda just in time for DD to have a drink, get washed up and go out to Brownies which finish tonight.
I should really be doing my TMA but I'm having trouble focusing my eyes for black spots - assuming a combination of raised bloodpressure (due to walking for 2 hours), and tiredness as I'm having trouble sleeping again  So I'm going to watch the Italian Job from the other night and rest properly after I've eaten.
hugs to all :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Soappie You will be having mixed feelings bout your ex. This happened to me a couple of year ago. He was here for family wedding. We met up and he took me for a meal. I did regret meeting up. We have not been in contact since. But thats me and how I felt.
Hi Boddy - sorry to hear you regretted meeting up. Would you be able to elaborate a little as to why? I'm not ready to meet with him yet (he only got in touch last Friday for heaven's sake!) but I'm happy to swop emails. We're doing one a day each at the moment. And it's all tentative, safe conversation like how's your family - mine are.... etc. etc.
I don't think I would regret meeting up with him somewhere neutral at some point for a cup of tea or something. I do have some fond memories. And I'm really, really curious - after all, he was a big part of my early life.
Now, if it was Ex No. 2 - his initial email would have gone straight in the recycle bin - no way do I ever want to have anything to do with him ever, ever, EVER again!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

You use WHITE vinegar, NOT brown malt.
You can even use it in your washing machine to soften clothes instead of fabric conditioner. I like to use it on my towels, they are not too soft and that is how I like it, I like a bit of roughness they dry you better that way.0 -
Well, ended up skim reading the thread to hugs, hurrahs etc as appropriate.
My day has been totally pants. Sheer and utter pants of the smelliest, longest unwashed kind.
Got the car to the garage for service on time, lift given to the office by courtesy driver. I think that was the best part of the day. Had problems with the stuff I'm working on all day so no work has been done (this has been ongoing since last thursday really). The minute I got in I had someone saying well, if you do this and that then things will be fine and I had to tell him well, actually, we can't do that because... and so it went round in circles. Achieved nothing all day.
I had the dentist appointment at 4.45 followed by hygienist at 5.00. I had asked for my car to be delivered back to the office by 3pm so I had half an hour's contingency before I had to leave to ensure I made the dental appointments. Phoned the garage 1.30pm - no news.
Phoned them again at 14.55
"Oh I'll can't find anyone at the moment, I'll call you back within five minutes". 15.05, the call comes back - yes all is done, but the car failed the MOT on a light bulb and a wiper. Would you like us to fit them for you? -
Yes please, how long will it take, you know I need to get to the dentist.
Oh, only about 20 minutes.
That's fine I say.
15.40 comes - no call back.
15.45 comes, I phone the dental surgery to ask how late the dentist is running .It seems for once he's on time! I tell them the situation and say I'll update.
16.00 comes. No call back. I phone the dentist surgery and cancel both appointments.
16.30 phone rings, finally the invoice is made out and the car is ready.
16.50 the car turns up on site. I then have to drive through rush hour traffic all the way and didn't get home until 18.15.
I am not a happy bunny
I am about to go and sit in the garden with a very large glass of wine - in fact I might dispense with the glass and just take the bottle - to cool down
Fortunately the kids have decided to get their own tea tonight.
There rant off and sorry it was so long.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
