Hi everyone.
not done much today, dropped ds1 at nursery and went to my parents house. Spent a bit of time with my sisters which was nice. My youngest sister is a nutter. She was doing a seal impression - walking around like one, while flapping her hands together making a seal-like noise, then my other sister held a bottle for her to nudge with her nose like they would doing tricks, and she almost broke her nose  She had me in hysterics :rotfl:
I came home not long ago - realised it was the funeral of the young lad who died today, so glad i missed that. since then i have fed ds2, had a bowl of cereal for lunch, and now just doing some internet stuff. Realised DH has taken £250 out of our bank account without even telling me. That's left money a bit tight - i bet he spent it while away for work last weekend, and i am so not impressed as i am trying to budget on not using the savings, and seems though we have final gas and electric bill this month, and just bought a sofa bed, and my wages have now dropped substantially, we have no chance, so need to talk to him tonight.
Suppose i had best try and do something.
pigpen - i'd stick them in a well sealed bag in the outside bin, and not leave them in the hoover or they will turn into flys in the hoover fairly quickly in this heat
hev i think rather than trying to fly i would try and kick that coke habit 1st. it will be doing really bad things to your moods and not helping you in the lightest, especially as you have had this for a long time.
quick wave to everyone else - i suppose move while ds2 is playing happy in the bouncer chair

Coooeeee!!! Only me
Just a quick pop in, just got back from Newcastle dropping DP off now I have to go get DS2, spent half an hour this morning vacuuming white things up, thankfully not maggots, just BEAN BAG BALLS! Argh! Still keep finding them everywhere.
Hope you are all ok xxx catch up with you later
Pigpen if you vacuumed them empty it, sealed bags doubled at least or they will escape (DS1 goes fishing and we've had esapologists before they can climb up bins!)One day I might be more organised...........

I feel like a right greasy spoon at the moment..
I even slipped in a 5 minute weeding session in the garden and watered my tomatoes and beans.. and emptied and washed out the compost caddy.. BLEURGH!!! Just is case it was that attracting the flies..
Still not swept under the table but I have emptied the bin in the bathroom and taken out some more recycling and the chimps can sort the landing and bedroom when they get in later..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Back from DD1 music class. Just had my first proper giggle for what feels like forever. The music teacher is a lady in her early 60's, very very slim, this is to help you picture it. Kiddies all sat on the floor in front of her, semi-circle of chairs for parents. She sits in front of kiddies with legs akimbo patting her knees saying "now keep watching my hands", all the parents were trying really hard not to burst out laughing. It was so funny.:rotfl: .
Have just ordered some stretch wrap for the booster seats so I can parcel them up (in the hope that easyjet bag handlers will not play football with them).
So to do for trip on Monday:-
Pack kids case (all done except undies)
Pack my case
Get dog treats
Order train tickets DONE
Book taxi
Get currency (got mums need to work out mine)
Print flight details off
Arrange travel insurance
Add passport Nos to flight details
Keep all crossed the DD1 passport arrives on Friday
Pack Insurance docs for car and both parts of my driving license
Sort DVD player out for flight
Sort camera
Pack bearevement allowance info for mum
Others today:
Hoover through
Make sausage rolls
10 min tidy in our room
S & S bathroom
That will do for today me thinks. Cuppa cooling on the side - just wish my cold would dry up. Although I did take 2 teaspoons of the kids piriton medicine last night as fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and didnt wake up until 6am. Fantastic stuff0 -
Not done any more flying since this morning, just been to the shops for fairy cake cases so me and LO can bake. Will make pretty fairy cakes with all the cheap supercook stuff to decorate:D My book was delivered too so very excited, will have a read later when i have peace and quiet. Fairy cakes nearly ready. numnumnum....The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Thanks for all the suggestions re diet coke.
As to the maggoty things pigpen :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: And while I don't know how I'd deal with them, I know for certain it would between me and the cat - OH would hide! When our old tom cat caught a mouse OH disappeared for a suspiciously long time before my Dad disposed of the evidence.
DS STILL hasn't had a nap today and it is going to be a nightmare trying to get him to bed if he doesn't nap soon. I think he may get an extra bottle - he's really only on morning and bedtimes now, but if it will calm him down then I am all for it. He goes into turbo when he is tired, and he looks like such a little ghost, it seems so unfair!
Mind you, given a choice between cuddling DS and cleaning the oven... I have to attend to DS, a mother's duties come first :pAlways another chapter0 -
Cake's just come out of the oven so I'm going to pick up DS. I'll also have to go and buy another Mr Potato Head for DD2. She can't find hers (probably because I threw it out a couple of weeks ago because bits were missing
). I tried to fob her off with the story about toys coming alive at night or when she isn't there and maybe he'd gone for a walk. With a big exasperated sigh she informed me that "toys can't walk. They're not real, they're plastic. OK?" :rotfl:I wonder how long she'll believe in Father Christmas and the Tooth Fairy? :rotfl::rotfl:

Shell - Congratulations - WELL DONE
Poohbear - You have my sympathy - I too lived in a building site for 2 years - now just the garage and outside to be sorted - we borrowed £60K to finish it and I worried sick but thankfully we are on the home straight now, except that we had to pay £5k for a walk in fridge (DH is a baker) which we thought we would cost £2k so that has left us a little short but we will have to manage and I am grateful to have a business, which although it makes little profit, has no debt!
You are lucky to have a good hubby to support you x
Flying - slow, rather like a little flutter but I am going to get going again now, promise
Plus a load to turbo list - God, it bores me to deathLBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

HEV - you are right, Diet Coke consumption is only a minor issue and if it helps, then you are doing brilliantly just trying to cut down.
Seriously, if you feel severely depressed, go back to GP and get meds re-evaluated. If you have been on them longer than a month, they should be working by now ie. taking away suicidal thoughts and major stress and depression.
A few years ago I was depressed and first meds were !!!!, changed to another and very quickly felt alot better (didn't take the depression away but at least gave me some space to deal with issues without feeling wretched)
