Hi All
Im a bit of a lurker on the OS board (have posted just a few times) but read almost everything you wonderful people write here. Anyway have a few questions (please bear in mind I am new to this being domesticated thing!)................
What are soda crystals and what do you do with them?
Will my house not smell like a chip shop if I clean with vinegar?
Keep reading about some sort of drops (stardrops?! or something) what are they?
And of course where can I find all these things? Was quite amused when I looked in my cleaning cupboard yesterday to discover a whole multitude of 'wonder products' Half of which dont work and well the other half of which I dont actually know what to do with!!!

Fairy cakes were yummy, gave LO a couple to ice on her own. VERY messy, will be recleaning my kitchen i think! May have eaten too much icing:o Bleurgh, can nearly feel my teeth rotting.
Have you tried Paul McKenna's books hev? They are very good, was speaking to my mum earlier about it, the cd's are great for relaxing. I've never had depression so i dont know much about it. We are all here for you, your problems are very real to you and you shouldnt need to be uncomfortable talking to us.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
What a day...
I went to collect Tiddles.. she was clinging to my leg when I left her this morning so I knew she was going to be an imp.. well.. she was.. she refused to join in or do as she was told and pee'd herself just for good measure!!
DS3 however.. WAY WAY WAY out of line here..
He has a friend.. now.. they are either inseparable or loathing each other.. today was a loathing day.
He was winding DS3 up.. which isn't hard in the slightest.. very simple in fact.. then it got to name calling and face pulling. They kept being moved apart.. then it got to pushing and shoving.. then.. this other boy dragged DS round by his top and called him a few fairly horrific names.. so.. DS3 in pur erage sceamed at him 'at least I have a mum'.. so the other boy whose mum died when he was 2 went off in a blind rage so the pair of them were hysterical... So.. DS3 missed half of his sports day because he was chucking wobblies
We got reports today.. and to compound DS3's bad day.. they have lost his.. only his in the entire class!!! DD3 has done rather crap in her KS1 SATs.. which I am not very happy about.. the teacher is fabulous.. but I do feel she will be better with the F2s in September.. but DD3 is a lazy mare and I am very concerned about how little she does anyway and how little effort she puts in to any of the school work...
Open afternoon on Friday.. and hubby is skiving.. oh.. CARP.. I forgot something.. oh well I remembered now.. so anyway he can come too and we will deal with this.
Tiddles STILL whinging.. so she can be placed in front of a film while I pop to shop and get some frozen junk for dinner.. and then she can go to bed early... and I'll go clean the stinking fridge.. and get some more washing done!
Think I might have to go to the pub with my sister later!! lol

Confused_Newbie wrote: »What are soda crystals and what do you do with them? They are used for washing and you will find them in the laundry aisle of most supermarkets. I mix my usual washing powder with them to make it stretch a bit further:D
Will my house not smell like a chip shop if I clean with vinegar? Vinegary smell doesnt linger, you dilute it anyway so not too strong a smell
Keep reading about some sort of drops (stardrops?! or something) what are they? Stardrops is a concentrated all purpose cleaner, i use it dilute in a spray bottle to clean my house, mop floors etc
Hope that helps a little:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

hev huge hugs to you. I take anti depressants too. I agree with redmadcurls that if they aren't working after a month then ask to see your GP again or if he/she isn't helpful ask to see a diferent one. I had some ADs that made me worse not better and I had to convince my GP to let me change. Since using different ones I have been a lot better than I was. I take ADs to help me sleep, some can make you really wakeful and GP says it is not possible but it is.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Well, first bookcase put together :T and I’m done!! Think it’s going to be one a day and I will def. need help with the tall one.
Still it does look good ( sorry Poohbear ) Billy – oak finish and look as good as the fancy ones in furniture shops. OK they are veneered chipboard, but they won’t get rough use so should stay looking OK.
PB you should go on Grand Designs  . Are you doing up the cottage to sell or as part of your home?
Nicki, give yourself a break from TMA then come back fresh tomorrow.
Hev (((hugs)))0 -
Will someone please take this horrible thing that used to be my lovely little un away. Since her 4th birthday (24th June) she has turned into this horrible shouting and stamping machine. Arghhhh!!!
Hev, sorry to hear your having such a tough time of it. I know how bad I have felt at times when i have been "down" so can only imagine the dispair you must experience at times. We are all here for you hun!0 -

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I think they (at Grand Designs ) would have got bored with us by now. It's 14 years since we bought the place and we have done bits and pieces over the years. The plan is to let it so we should get back the money we have borrowed, eventually. It could be a holiday let and then the payback will be faster. The ultimate plan was for us to move into it when the kids have left home :rotfl: They don't seem to be going anywhere fast.
I have got them to start work at last, 4.10 they started.

Dog2 jumped up at one of the newly built walls yesterday and knocked it down!! The mortar was new and hadn't 'set'. :rotfl:  :rotfl:business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
