I can't seem to get the motivation together this morning! DS1 has dozed off and OH has returned home hungry so I really need to get into that kitchen.
I'm a bit peeved that the house next door has contractors in. It's stood empty for years and we're used to not having to worry about the neighbours. Looks like there's going to be someone in there soon though. Going to send OH round for a nose later.

I have not done anything. I feel terrible so gonna make a cuppa then collect DD2. Then we have to be back at school an hour later to watch DD1s music class. Home for another hour and then time to collect her.
No idea what to do for tea, think I need more paracetamols - cold is making me feel yuck!0 -

I'm trying to cut down and most days I am on two litres now, but I use diet coke as a coping mechanism () and on bad days I can go through 8 litres. The own brand stuff is not too bad or too dear but has much more of the chemicals and caffeine, in my experience.
Shell - wishing you luck. I am sure you did great - you seem to use the right words on here. Perhaps next time you should imagine it is pigpen interviewing (or perhaps not ).
Crafty Scholar - I hope that the last book case turns up soon. My experience with IKEA is that they are brilliant, but it's the products more their customer service, fingers crossed for you.
Got DS to the shops and bought the milk and eggs needed, hoping he is going to have a nap. He looks like a little ghost - pale face and all eyes, poor little bunny. At the moment he is singing to himself which is a good sign.
Okay, so once I've finished this cuppa off to fly - honest.Always another chapter0 -
Hi all - the internet seems to be working at the moment. I really miss it when it doesn't work - I must get out more lol.
Just back from DD sports day. She didn't win but she doesn't let it bother her.
Weather is great so the washing I put out this morning is all dry.
Can't be bothered to do too much today - its too warm. I've got a bit of sewing to do and I'll get the ironing done but thats it. The house is still quite clean and tidy.
Think I'll have to join the kids in the pool this afternoon after school.
Have a good afternoon everyone.0 -

craftyscholar I am jealous I wanted the IKEA bookcases but have had to scavange and have also bought 3 B and Q shelf units. They are not as pretty but do the job.
I don't know if I said but I am living in the middle of a building site. All of our own making. Tidy Up Tash we have contractors in next door but they are all our own family. The noise sometimes drives me daft but I know its not for ever.
We had a derelict cottage next door to us that I used as a glory hole. Its amazing what you can accumumulate when you have another house to fill!! As a result all the junk came in here and I have managed to get rid of loads BUT the hall and kids room became dumping grounds instead. I am now working through it all to make the place liveable. I am feeling really stressed most of the time about how much needs to be done. This thread helps me to keep it in perspective most of the time. Last week I lost the plot and wanted to leave.
At the moment I have a half finished living room, kids room, bathroom and a builders yard ( thats the hall). The hall is full of the things that have to stay dry, plaster board, bags of cement and plaster, drills, nails, wood etc.
Every day I sweep builders rubble out of the hall bathrooms etc. Even the shower drain was blocked by bits of building. And its all of our own making.
I have DH here working on the building. which is great because he is no longer depressed, and I get to see lots more of him. But he is not earning so we have a bit of a financial problem. I am still fighting to get money out of DSs all living here and working part time as almost all their money goes on petrol. We chose to live here, not them, and it is 5 miles to the nearest village.
Next door we have the beginings of another cottage. You can now see where the interior block walls are going to be. The roof still has water pouring in when it rains. I think I need about £4000 for the roof to be done, before everything else. It was a shell when we bought it as part of the house. I am getting really scared as we are about to borrow more money.
Sorry but I needed to get that off my chest, I love reading all of your posts and it does help me realise that I am not going to disappear under a pile of junk and builders materials and that there are lots of people so much worse off than me and really I have nothing to moan about. I think having the FMS makes me over react to things.
I get really stressed that DSs are still in bed but DH says to try to ignore the fact that they are here and just do what I want to do downstairs. He is so understanding.

Well my plans have changed - taking DD to the big park with my mate after school which should take us a while, especially if we walk there as it takes about 30mins plus I think, but I haven't walked it since DD was in her pram so I'm not sure :rotfl: So I'm tackling my work in spurts - I'm getting there slowly. My plan for today is to get the initial draft for all the questions done, then tomorrow I'll attempt to tweak it to make more sense and get it under the word count
I waffle too much :rotfl::rotfl:
Right, lunch had (Chicken Tikka pasty and caramel doughnut - not good for the diet or purse but it was one of those ... I realllllllllllyyy fancy. It'll be paid for out of the "bottle money" that I've been saving though so thats not a problem - just need to get change of a £20 note now as thats what the cash machine spat at me  ) now back to stusying.... :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
