    Hi There

Can I ask how heavy it is? My hands/muscles ect are all very weak.

    Thanks

    Hi PP
I do find the lid fairly heavy
Do you have a Lakeland near you? I am sure if you went in and explained you would be able to try lifting the lid on and off.
The cooking element is in the lid so you have to be able to lift it and lay it down safely.

Would the "standard" Remoska be big enough to cook a chicken and roast spuds together, or would I need to cook the chicken then cook the spuds after the chicken has finished:confused: ....our chickens are normally medium, small or pieces.

    Just a few questions:

How long does a medium chicken take to cook?
    How long do Roasties take?
Baked Spuds?...are they crispy and fluffy??
What's the difference between this and a slowcooker?
How much cheaper is it to run?
Could you cook stews etc in a Remoska?
Do I need to buy the seperator, or would something else suffice?
We eat typical meat, spud and 2 veg meals, fishpies, chips, pizzas, toad in hole, stews, chilli etc....can all this be cooked in there too?

Thanks and sorry to be a nuisance.

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes and cake yesterday, have saved a bit of the cake if you want to come on over for tea this aft (having my hair permed for free this morning:eek: ) all welcome:D :D:D
Thanks csarina! Glad you enjoyed it, I knew it would taste nice if done in the remoska lol! Glad you had a lovely birthday.

I've got 4 spuds in there at the mo for tea tonight, I nipped into work and left OH to cook the bread giving him explicit instructions on not scratching the non stick lining etc, he did a good job and I cam home to (1/2 eaten) loaf! The idea of doing the dough and leaving overnight worked a treat and I think I'll do it again as timewise its very yseful to me.

So glad everyone is enjoying/ordering their remoskas! I am enjoying mine and looking at new things to cook in it. I got some reduced chicken breasts so I think I'll do a curry this week, probably marinate the chicken overnight in the spices... yum.

    Just a few questions:

How long does a medium chicken take to cook? about an hour if a small one
How long do Roasties take? took me about 20-30 mins but I did them for 10 mins in micro first
Baked Spuds?...are they crispy and fluffy?? yes, better than the oven
What's the difference between this and a slowcooker? My slow cooker seems to produce a lot of liquid, this seems to oven cook things so they are crispy and the remoska is not a slow cooker, it gets very hot!
How much cheaper is it to run? 450w to run the remoska (standard)
Could you cook stews etc in a Remoska? yes
Do I need to buy the seperator, or would something else suffice? you could use foil or any ovenware that fits inside...be careful not to scratch the lining
We eat typical meat, spud and 2 veg meals, fishpies, chips, pizzas, toad in hole, stews, chilli etc....can all this be cooked in there too? yes

Thanks and sorry to be a nuisance. (you aren't a nuisance, any excuse to talk about the remoska!)

Ordered the grand one today so thanks for all your helpful tips and hints guys :)

did hesitate if the grand would be too big for 1 persons lunch but ordered it anyway so i can batch cook rather than go for the smaller one and later regret not getting it :)

    Hi

For dinner tonight in the Remoska I put in a layer of thickly sliced potatoes, a layer of onion and a layer of carrots, and on the top I put some pork chops. Put the timer on so it started about 40 minutes before we wanted to eat, and it was cooked to perfection :j
