I have just spoken to a nice lady at Lakeland, who has suggested I go for the Grand, boys will grow after all!
Also was told that not many are returned and they sell loads.
If I am not happy with it or it finds it`s way to the back of the cupboard, all I need to do is ring them up and they will collect it and refund me.
So have nothing to lose.
Pay day next week, so will order it then.
And you WON'T regret it! I have had mine now for just over a month and I've only used the "proper" oven once because I was feeding a lot of people. I also have the grand (there are 4 of us) and find that with the rack I can do almost anything I could in the main oven......eg tonight I had cauliflower cheese and the others had macaroni cheese, 2 separate dishes one in the base of the remoska the other on the rack. I make cakes, roasts, scones, bread - you name it and my remoska cooks it......:j:j:j:j:j....BEAUTIFULLY !!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

taurusgb do you use a non stick liner in the bottom ot it? to stop it being marked.
Think I am going to get a rack aswell so I can cook on 2 layers.
Am I right in thinking that instead of browning mince in a frying pan, I can do it in the remoska and then carry on with receipe?0 -
it finaly came and I did bacon & sausages in it, then tried some parboiled potatoes. It seems to take a teeny bit longer than the recipe books says but I love it. Sorry CF, not brave enough yet to try shepherds pie ..its a bit bigger than I thought it would be and a shepherds pie in it would do us 2 meals, so cooking and freezing half would seem to be the way to go.But I do like it.
I did the Shepherd's Pie on Monday in mine and it was delicious - be brave and try it, you won't be disappointed, I promise.
I find that some recipes take longer than stated but I've got used to mine in the three short weeks since I've had it; it's like we all get used to our own ovens, really - you'll get to know exactly how to use it to suit you. I'm using mine almost every day now and wouldn't be without it!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

does that mean you use cooking dishes in the remoska? - does it come with them or do you buy them extra?
am slowly persuading dh that it is a good idea (and saving up my avon earnings so we can buy one) ...

Decided to order 1 now and put on plastic.
PRICE HAS GONE UP £10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My web page showed £99.99 for grand and £79.99 for standard but put them in your basket and price is £109.99 or £89.99!
rang up and they said price had gone up, new catalogue just going out, but they would honour price.
So a grand plus rack is on its way!!
can`t wait-sad or what?0 -
I hope yours comes quicker than mine did !! And am feeling quite smug now that I got it before it went up...0

I cooked a lentil and walnut loaf in my standard one today. The recipe said a loaf tin and I tried a 7" cake tin which fits in the standard just fine. I put 2 silicone circles on top. After 40 mins I put some sliced cooked left over potato, coated with a little oil on top of the silicone and carried on cooking for 20 mins. It all turned out really fab. Yesterday I cooked a panetonne in that cake tin and that was yummy too. I can`t get over the way things are cooking properly but thinking about it, the oven element was at the top. I say was because I haven`t used my oven since I got the remoska
Taurusgb a big thank you. The silicone muffin case idea of yours is great and I will be cutting my muffin cases apart. The remoska is going from strength to strength0 -

Yes I use a piece of non stick liner on the base if using a separate pan - and I also brown mince in the remoska (saves standing at hob watching) and just pour off any excess fat before adding further ingredientsPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
