    Nokai 8800 £19 a month, 50mins 200texts, £154.99 for handset.

From student o2 online; probably picking one of these up from o2 later, works out less than 400 a year.

Dont think you'll get better than that.

Good work itsamansworld, all about the karma
  • hi, looking for a low cost tariff on O2 or Orange. Currently got a great deal with Vodafone but poor poor coverage
    Thanks

If you are looking for a straightforward, no cashback deal, the O2 Online tariffs are a good deal.
    Online50 texter - 75 xnet, anytime mins + 300 texts + 50% extra texts and mins for £19
    Online50 talker - 100 xnet, anytime mins + 50 texs + double mins every month for £19.
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

    Lara Hi,

Totallyd depends on the phone can you tell me what one?

I can only give you optimum guides though

sew800i defo the best nokias boring yawn! nok6680 can get a virus whic only effectd symbian based handsets although I may be wrong on this but there is no anti virus software as yet you would need to do a software upgrade to fix it thus losing messages ringtones pics etc etc etc

I've got the Nokia 6680. Can't say I'm that happy with it though and it's aonly three weeks old :(. Preferred my old Motorola! :D . The battery is lasting for a couple of days and when I have had Nokia's before they lasted nearly all week - hence my query.

Reason for asking about the three phones is for my son. He's possibly going to get the student On line 200 (400 mins, 150 text ) for £30 per month and he has a choice of phone.

Is this thread a good thing... there's a whole board for mobile discussion , putting different queries on one thread will just confuse ?
Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.

This is also the address where you are need to send your bills for the cash back claims.

    2. The cash back amount is divided equally in the 6th, 9th and the 12th month & is credited into the bank account directly within 30 days of the receipt of the bill from your side each time. The bills and the completed cash back vouchers should be received by us exactly within 30 days of the date on the relevant airtime bill. Any claims made after the required span of time would not be considered eligible for the redemption money.

    3. Contract must be in continuation with no line disconnection due to non payments or arrears.

Would I be right in reading that as meaning that if I notify say 3 that I am cancelling my phone at the end of my contract, I wont get my last cashback as the contract wont be in continuation when I send in my last bill to claim it? Or does it just have to be so for the term of the contract as you would assume?
  • hi richmansworld,
i have been with voda for about 15 months into an 18 month contract (£30 a month with insurance), my nokia 6230s keep breaking- am going to have to ring them again cos my 3rd one has broke

trouble is, i dont fancy another 6230, after problems with 3 of them, i have no confidence left as a consumer in nokia phones, and wanted it swapping for a different model- trouble is voda are having none of it :(

my 18month contract is up in april and i was going to sell whatever i had (unless it was a samsung- in which case i would keep it) and put the money towards something like a samsung e350 (i heard the bluetooth was ropey on the d500s and they are expensive), have it unlocked and use it on either o2 online or virgin payg.

voda don't know what my plans were, they just know i have been really dissatisfied, sent 3 phones back (so they have probably worked out the chances of keeping hold of me are slim), is this why they are not very forthcoming with model change?

also i have been told my only way to get a different model is an upgrade- what kind of price would they charge me (rough estimate?) am after a samsung with a camera and cancelling at the end of the term i am on, i'm with voda through their own stores (big mistake)
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
