......think we will just go for the 02 student v547. QUOTE]

Is your daughter at uni? (I assume your 14 year old son isn't!). I only mention this because you need to enter UCAS ref No to do online purchase.

    Hi there

I am on a mobile bargain quest.

I currently am on contract with O2 and get 500 textx and 50 mins per month. But it's not enough, I need about another 100 texts and way more minutes, is there anything out there that beats my current deal £19.00 per month?? - I am tied on the contract until March, so I appreciate the deals may well change beofre then, but am keen to know if I could get anything better.

If it is worth anything, I only text/phone 1 person who is also on the O2 network.

    Hi
looking for a Nokia 8800 on contract any good deals out there
I found £150 at £35 a month or £119 at £25 for 6months then £50 for the other 6, any better deals please

    I'm with o2 at the moment on a 400tariff at about £35 a month

    Cheers Neil
  • Can you pls help me 'itsarichmansworld'?

I have been on PAYG for quite some time. I now want to switch to contract and am baffled by the range of options. Basically, put about £25 per month on my PAYG so look for a contract in the same region. Use texts just as much as calls really. Cannot use T Mobile as the signal is not good in my area. Not bothered about anything too flashy where a phone is concerned but it must be able to take pics and send them. Don't mind be bound to a 12/18 months contract as I'm not much of a switcher.

A point in the right direction would be greatfully received!!

    Many thanks in advance

    hi richman,
i bought contract from e2save 8 months ago for 3.it was £10/month(£30-£20cash back after 6 months).i settled direct debit.i found that e2save was working on behalf of carphonewarehouse.it's just a brief info.
Now,The main thing is,for 8 months nobody charged single p from my a/c.3 sends me bill regularly which clearly says that 'we'll charge this money on xxx date from ur a/c with d.debit'
after 6 month e2save sent me cashback as well.so some time i'm worring if they charge full amount in one time.
wen i check my a/c they haven't set any d.debit.
so,i'm asking you i have to worry for that or no?can they inform to credit rating agency?

I would worry about this as if its is showing in arrears even though its not your fault it may effect your credit rating go to a cpw store and ask for help sorting your account. They will help you as we are all part of the same group now.
worst thing you can do is bury your head in the sand,

  • OH decided no contract for son. He's not good at contolling his texts and calls but the vodafone unlimited texts is very tempting. The site says subject to their fair use policy but cant find what this policy is.

think we will just go for the 02 student v547. Do you think its ok phone or are there any probs with it. Our other daughter had the o2x1i last christmas and in 3 weeks screen broke and we couldn't replace it. Couldn't buy new cases and were stuck until a friend's husband got a dummy phone for us and we used the screen from that.

have you looked at tmobiles u fix plans you can set a limit and it is in stone for your son limit his texts and calls?

the motorola is actually a good middle of the road phone with the basics bluetooth etc we sold piles of his vodafone counterpart motorola v545 and the orange v550

o2 x1 was the worst phone ever o2 didnt bother repairing them when they had a fault just replaced (which almost never happens!)

Uh huh, you are wrong :), you can get anit-vrus for your phone. I think the best available at the moment is "Simworks Anti-Virus" which can be found here:

    http://www.simworks.biz/sav/AntiVirus.php?id=home

There are also others out there on the market too, just Google it :D

Thanks! I may not always be right but there are people in the world willing to come to my rescue!

God I'm regretting this now! :)

Can I be really cheeky and say this phone is an over priced low battery not so good camera piece of nonsense the phone is £600 sim free.
However the jolly nokia 6230i is a much better phone at a lot less. when you go onto the menu on a nokia 8800 is looks exactly the same as the nokia 6230i

but orange 900 the phone is free but a expensive line rental at £75ish a month
PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH. GIVE IT TO ME INSTEAD IF YOU REALLY WANT TO THROW IT AWAY I NEED A NEW BAG
