  • The IP2200 uses PG-40 and CL-41 so sound like the same ones. I can't find compatibles anywhere sadly.
  • Try these guys, you have to pay postage but at £1 a cartridge for the Canon i550 compatibles, they are hard to beat and I've had no problems with colour, maybe if you are printing photo's they are not as good as the originals but for everyday printing they are great. :j :j :j

Was reading that the IP2200's cartridges and other new printers in the Canon range have patented hardware in them meaning there might not be compatibles released for them. :(

Got a Pixma mp760,anyone got a cheap place for decent cartridges please
    thanks
  • Hi!
Having had a couple of printers wrecked by generic cartridges I've given in and pay for the manufacturers ones. The cheapest place I've found is ValueShop.co.uk with Canon BCI-6 cartridges at £4.34 (plus VAT) and BCI-3eBk at £6.20 plus VAT incl delivery, which was within 3 days of ordering despite the website reckoning 5-7 days. Are there any better offers out there?
    Thanks
    Kev

The thing about these cartridges is that the print heads are built into the cartridge - so you shouldn't suffer from blocked heads. However this makes the already expensive cartridges even more b****y expensive.

These are the cheapest people I have found for genuine Canon cartridges (by far).

If you wish to refill your cartridges read this:

    http://www.bs-print.co.uk/canon-ip-1600-refill-instructions.htm

Get your ink from many places.

If you have two sets of genuine cartridges, and refill them alternately they should last for some time. If the print quality does start to degrade - buy another couple of genuine cartridges.

PS; Have found a website which MAY be about to offer compatibles if they do will post URL.
  • Hi!
On my printer (Pixma IP4000) the print head is seperate from the cartridge. This makes the cartidges 'cheaper' but a new printhead is almost as much as the printer cost in the first place :-(.

    Regards

    Kevin
