Canon Cartridges Thread

I just got some cartridges for my Canon Multipass from https://www.eco-office-supplies.co.uk the BCi 24 black reduced to £1.49 and colour £2.49. Had them from there before (before reduction - AARRGGHH) and they have been ok - choose the 3-7 day postage though cos i still get mine within a couple of days and works out loads cheaper. Not sure how long they are going to be discounted dont think it says.:money:0

Like another poster said earlier, I never saw the sense in having a super printer with less than super inks, so always used Canon OEM (BCI-3e inks) with my Canon S750 printer. The price was justified by the result. Then a few months back a friend recommended Tesco's compatible inks and as I was in a hurry, I used the Tesco equivalent black & 3x colours. The results were surprisingly good, so much so that in early December, I purchased two C23 Tesco packs containing one each of cyan, magenta and yellow.
I opened the first pack last week. The cartridges and packing didn't resemble the earlier 3s compatibles from Tesco so perhaps Tesco is using a different (cheaper?) supplier. The inks are. . . awful. The yellow actually spilled out before it could even be positioned in the printer. The other inks hardly run at all.
I rang customer services and to their credit, was told to take both the opened pack, and the unopened pack, back to the store for a full refund (even though we've lost the receipt).
I now urgently need a source for genuine Canon ink -- Amazon's hopeless, because the BCI-3e range is spread out over different market place suppliers and by the time P&P is factored in, it's hardly a bargain. Valueshop is offering BCI-3es at £5.45p apiece, total £16.62, plus £1.49p P&P = £18.11p.
Seems a good price to me for OEM inks. . . but does anyone here know better? Thanks!
**** Just discopvered an outfit called Maxsave in Guernsey: they're quoting £16.65p with free P&P. Anybody here dealt with maxsave at all??0 -

https://www.eco-office-supplies.co.uk As mentioned above - although I don't use the bci3 but would imagine they still use the same supplier - I do lots of photos/posters/kids homework/cerfificates and they haven't let me down at all. Just had a look and yours are 2.99 each not sure what the postage is but if you opt for the longer postage its cheaper mine ussually come with in a couple of days. I had some compatibles from elswhere before and they leaked and made a right mess - all over me aswell just before a presentation ... so I stick with these guys now!0 -
Hi thrifty -- thanks for that, it's a website I hadn't come across before. Looks good!
In my case though, I've had it with compatibles after the Tesco experience so will stick to OEM ink. Valueshop's £5.45p OEM pricing is lower than anywhere else in the UK so I've ordered from them (their P&P puts them above maxsave but I don't know anything about maxsave so will stick with Valueshop, the extra money paid out is cheap enough for peace of mind).0 -
I've found the best deals at https://www.houseofink.co.uk
They're simply the cheapest and best we've found for Canon, Epson and HP.
Prices are from £1.50 for Canon and Epson and from £5 for HP.
Delivery is FREE to UK.
Also https://www.freeinkcarts.co.uk are offering a deal for FREE cartridges for the top 10% who register with them before 14 Feb.
It's got to be worth a try.0 -
I have used Maxsave (Guernsey) many times - not necessarily the quickest but reliable, well packed and always as ordered and nice clear invoices.
I found their prices to be the most reasonable.0 -

House of Ink and FreeinkCarts are sites from the same chap by the name of Andre Simm and he's using NTLWorld free space for a number of sites/pages.
Not sure I'd risk it - it looks too good to be true.0 -

Just wonderd if anyone knows of a source of low cost Canon Genuine or good Compatible Cartridges for a Canon MP160 Printer.
The Canon Original Cartridges are PG-40 (Black) and CL-41 (Colour)
I've been looking around for weeks now, and compatibles seem non existant.
Thanks,
Andy.0
