Keep looking positively at things!
(Was that September quoted with a year??? :rotfl:) Seriously, I think most institutions are rolling out through to year end.0 -
Well, Sep 23 and still no sign of FPs - although I expect HBOS have got more pressing concerns just now.
Just splashed out on a Henry Hound vacuum cleaner
after getting thoroughly fed up with more bits falling off my Dyson every time it's dragged out of the cupboard. Not very MS, but it's not like I go mad for handbags and shoes like proper girly girls do!
No more OPs for September, the final £30 should reach my mortgage tomorrow (at last!), so that brings me to £220 for the month.0 -
excellent OPs, I like the Henry vacuum cleaners too brilliant little things!0

Just caught up with your thread and it sounds like you're doing very well!
Hello and good luck with further OP'sCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

No
but I did have a result on Tuesday... started the day with three functional arrows, stuck new points onto a couple (my first experience with hot-melt and a blow torch  )... then when I got to the club, somebody had found another 2 of mine lost from a couple of weeks back :T so I now have 7.
The 12 new ones are still languishing in a corner all sad and neglected - I really will have to sort them out soon!
And today I realised that I actually sent 2 £30 OPs this month, so my September total is £250 not £220, yippee - and that takes me over the half-way mark to my target as well
(Note to self: Don't send more than one OP of the same amount each month, you know how easily you get confused  )0 -

hi
just wanted to know - a) what is the Big dog ? and b) what was the food you ordered through Quidco for him/her. I too have a Big Dog (see avator) and tend to get mutli pack cans from Makro as soooooooooooooo much cheaper than a supermarket but if you have found a better way ........... ?

Hi Daisy,
He's a GSD cross breed, don't know what with but I suspect Staffie and/or Labrador as he has a very powerful front end and jaw, and a big fat bottom (especially when he decides to park it next to me to watch TV).
He's probably not as big as your dog
I feed him on Burns dry food (with a bit of water mixed in) which isn't cheap at all - I fed my last dog on much cheaper stuff (£12 a bag rather than £35-£40) but I don't think in retrospect it was the best thing to do (he still lived to a ripe old age I hasten to add). Burns is what this one was being fed at the rescue place so I've just carried on with it as it seems to suit him.
He gets half a tin of canned food (just the Tesco chunks in jelly) with his evening ration; sometimes I give him tuna or corned beef instead of the canned stuff.

Hi
thanks for that Moominyak, he sounds like a great dog. I never used to like them but since getting ours I think GSD are a fab breed so hopefully you have the best of all worlds there.
We found, and the others at the puppy class, that dry food made them itchy, hyper, aggresive, nervous so we gave up with that and now try to get whatever looks "good" although who really knows what is in any of the stuff we feed them (and us). i am always on the lookout for a bargain so thought the Quidco thing looked like investigating. We also give tuna, liver, mince, kidneys etc as a supplement to the dog food and he seems to enjoy it. Not very MSE but we decided to think of it as the same amount of money as we would spend if we had had bairns so we would want to feed them the same quality of stuff that we eat. It helps us not to cry when we see the bill for dog food/vets fees etc !!
How is the Sept total coming along or have you closed off your books and are onto Oct ? I did a big rec last night and reckon we can afford to start up the standing order for overpaying the advance again in Oct and I am still teasing myself about when I get to open Elvis "Thanguverramuch" Pigsley, the mortgage pig. Its his first month with us and although he has been fed quite a lot I am not sure how much is in there.
