I read all the door hanger thread posts here you are very clever and inspired rainmac and everyone.

Those princess hangers are very beautiful, that and the butterfly paper ones are my favourite.

My aim ..haha she says so optimistically is to make a cookery/ gardening one, a book library one and a doggy one for various members. If I can with patience achieve those I would love to do a baby one for myself.

On the website eclat crafts there is some good baby and doggy papers and fun tiles stickers and jumbo brads.

I`ve seen a piece of 12*12 aged book scrapbook paper on ebay and would like to do a little velum envelope with the words shhh on it How do you do you writing please rainmac so its looks so neat.

    :A smiles .

also to all Door Hanger Makers what is the best way to stick on embelishments ??

    thanks for reading Love B

Wow, those are fab ideas brookeslay :T

I tend to use Word on the pc for my lettering and print it off. I like Mary have used glue dots and glue depending on what I need to stick. Also used double sided tape for the vellum pockets to make and to stick to the hanger.

Please keep us updated with your progress, really like your ideas :D

rainmac - they're beautiful.....................how many more have you got to do ?........................lol

I've added on another thread that I've almost done baby grandsons hanger........santa stop here side is finished............on the other side stuck piccy of teddy in pj's on blue/grey fabric -stuck is a bit to the left so it covers up the back of the santa image on the other side.
OH had suggested blue ribbon as backing for the letters but I've ended up usin g brown (tones in the the teddy) - consulted with OH first...................lol
Still got two more to finish off but don't feel so much in a state of panic now................lol

None, I've finished, finished, finished :T

Yours sounds great Mary, perfect for a little one.

rainmac - well done ...............began to wonder how many more masterpieces you were going to come up with......................lol

I'm ever so pleased with my baby grandsons hanger and ex foster lad called yesterday and thinks the others are brilliant - so that makes me feel a bit better........................lol

Just stuck now on ex foster girls........haven't done it yet and her doors have the old fashioned latches on them............. Can only think of either doing a ribbon long enough for her to tie around it - either that or it'll have a huge loop of ribbon...............lol

    ikkle love the hangers.

mary what did you decide about the hanger to go a latched door? I was planning to make them for my friend's 3 boys and it wasn't till you mentioned it that I remembered they have doors with old fashioned latches doh! I may just make snowman soup instead:rotfl:

    lovely door hangers ikkle :T

Haven't done ex foster girls door hanger yet but think the only way around it would be to tie ribbon around the top of the circle and leave enough hanging loose for her to tie it around the handle herself. I can always add a bit at the side of the circle as well.

Just need some images of shoes and bags now............did a google the other day but was seeing so many................ mind boggling !!!!
