My little one is 5 and has always had boxers and never had pants. He's got a tiny waist and is small in height so boxers fitted much better as I could buy them in a small size to get a good fit.

My ds (10) has had from a young age a mixture of both normal pants and boxers (prefers jersey type boxers, as much better under jeans, snugger fit, so they dont ride up)
Like others, depending on what he is doing depends on what he wears.

My DS made the move about the age of 9
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

My DS2 was about 3 1/2....it was shortly after he'd "had his willy fixed" and briefs were just a bit too uncomfortable for him, so he went to boxer & has worn them ever since.

His big brother only changed over in his teens...maybe street-cred & girls had something to do with that decision.........

As a bloke, quite simply you wear what you want!

If you feel like pants you wear pants, if you feel like boxers you wear boxers.

If I am doing sports I wear pants as I appreciate the support and don't want my todger popping out whilst lunging!

Would you rather I spelt it out?! He was only 3 1/2 after all....how else do you explain that particular medical procedure, apart from emphasising that it will make things a lot easier & less painful!

My little boy was 3 when he asked for some boxers as he'd seen his friend at school wearing them. I struggled to find some for his age to begin with.. he quickly went back to pants as were more comfortable and he got tangled up with boxers when pulling his trousers up :) He wears his boxers as pyjama shorts now :)
