Tim wont be able to pass comment on the top one, as forum rules say he is not allowed to promote or recommend any product for his own gain, but from my own experience of testing all the beds I can find (!) Kozeesleep are good and the coolmax top does make a difference with memory foam being warm usually. Not tried Slumberland myself though.

Thanks for your help Tim. What do you think of the Myers brand? I know they are not pocket sprung, but the 5ft Myers Grandeur Latex & Memory Foam Mattress looks very good with two different sets of springs.

We do have the blow up mattress at the moment, but I would rather just get the mattress ordered and out of the way...have spend enough time on it already!
Myers are a good brand name (part of the Staples group), but be careful you're not paying for the name and that it does what you need.

    Thanks for all your comments.

I have found that slumberland do a range of "memory seal" pocket sprung mattresses at a reasonable price with a 5 year warranty. For example:

    http://www.mynextmattress.co.uk/dynamic/viewitem.php?item=SL00002

(800 pocket springs with layer of memory foam)

Or there is this one by Sealy:

    http://www.mattressonline.co.uk/products/ultra_memory_support_mattress.html

Which of the 2 are better?

I need to order in next hour or so to get next day delivery, any help would be appreciated. Thanks again!

The first one is another of the foam encapsulated spring types that I mentioned earlier.

As for the Sealy one.......they are the same company as Silentnight......need I say any more?

One advantage of Dreams is they take your old bed away, for a charge. But some sellers won't take your old bed away at all.

Has anyone got any advice on the best way to get an old bed taken away? And on the same day the new one is delivered? Haven't got room for 2 beds and don't want to sleep on the floor.

My council has a 3-day service, call them up and pay £20, leave the bed outside, and they will pick it up within 3 days.

Alternatively hire a van and take it to the tip.

Or call a 'man with a van'. You should be able to get someone to come round for say £20, if you check gumtree.

Lol, it'd not a decision to rush, and at least you're getting some advice now rather than having spent £300+ on a mattress that you dont like or will fall apart after 2years!

The 5year warrenty sounds great, but be careful, my Silentnight had a 10year 'warrenty', but was only fully warrentied for 2years and then after those 2years you had to make contribution towards a replacement on a sliding scale starting at 40% of the current retail price of the equivelent mattress, which for us (including mandatory £30 delivery charge) would have almost been the price we paid for the original mattress

I asked about the warranty, its a replace or refund one if there is any manufacturing defect on the mattress. I am not convinced that this mattress is NOT pocket sprung:

    http://www.slumberland.co.uk/products/memory/memorysealdeluxe.aspx

Are you sure Tim? The website states its pocket sprung with "1200 individually nested pocket springs".

This seems the best one I have found for the price.

Irrespective of the pocket spring or not, it's a non-turn mattress, so not ideal anyway. Usually means it made with less materials and lower spec to save costs. A non-turn mattress will wear twice a quickly as a turn one, as you only have one side to wear!

    And this one:

I think Tim also sells the Kozeesleep mattresses?
