  • Ok, I think this might be the mattress for me!
I would love some thoughts from people on the following:

Harrison Classic (regular firmness) double mattress for £369. Nice thing is, it would be from a local independent stockist. Like to support the small firms where possible.
    Any comments appreciated.

Does the mattress you mentioned several [STRIKE]hundred[/STRIKE] thousand posts earlier exist yet? It was seasonal, with foam one side, & non-foam the other.

Finally, would you be able to recommend a type of mattress for me & the OH please? We have a beautiful metal bed frame - sadly of not such great quality. It has wood slats to which we have added more. I was about to buy a foam mattress topper, but after reading this epic, I see we'd be better off with a new mattress.

OH is a very hot sleeper, & of heavy build. I'm smaller than him :p , pregnant, uncomfortable & cold. Is there any hope, or shall we get separate beds now?

Just quoting myself....there's pregnancy brain for you :D .
We now desperately need a new mattress asap. Not only am I now very very very pregnant, something in our mattress is eating me. Am getting exterminators by the weekend, and want a new mattress asap after that. Our bed frame is slatted, but we can add more slats easily (already have, but I think I recall a pocket sprung needs more....). With the new developments I am after a mattress that repels bugs preferably ;)

It has 1000 springs, is turnable, and has hand stitching on the side walls - all good things according to this thread.
    Any comments appreciated.
  • whats the best divan to get underneath all these matresses - Tim can you help - can you get these seperately or do they have to be bought togther

I saw a divan base in John lewis for £244 which was sprung then thought would buy a replacement mattress when I can afford one - pref after xmas.

It's not a bad price for a Harrison (they are normally over priced), especially from a shop. Is it ex display?

I can't recommend anything, but please shop around on line. £440 is way over priced, especially as it appears to be the reflex foam encapsulated smaller pocket spring type (that normally come cheaper than proper pocket springs).
