I actually managed to do it all (for a change!) 36 cupcakes, batch of scones and 4 jars of the chilli jelly (already picturing it on bacon sandwiches and left over meat after christmas...) finished the washing up and i can breathe and....relax.

Almost off of Franks bits have come in the post now, just waiting on the amazon books now. Opened the 'mystery' one from firebox all the stuff in it totals about £45 (spent £20) and it's stuff he'll like so I'm chuffed! Also got people in the office presents from Asda as all their presents were marked down to £1 each. Got a projector clock, pink car kit and a set of candles.

My only task tonight is to wrap the presents for work + Frank. so not much! Good luck with your list Tink.

    Nicki, I know the feeling!!!
Wow, Cinny, the baking sounds amazing!!!
  • I've done all my Xmas shopping online this year to save money. There are fab sites that sell stuff at clearance prices such as brandxs.com where you can get really cool FCUK clothes for a song! Crazy clearance is another. Worth a look at!

with some reference to cinny's post about the missing penny, i have noticed on my online banking, that when i use my card to pay for something, my cleared balance always shows £1 lower than actual balance until the payment clears. Weird i say, has anyone else experienced this?

I've never had that scorpian, I've just got a mental picture of some Nigeran prince taking my money one penny at a time. Might be waiting for interest to go in or something? although I doubt it. Completely forgot to get a mini statement on the way home so I'll have to ring up.

Does your £1 go back in after the balance has cleared?

Thanks Nicki! Would you believe there's only about 8 cupcakes left?! I didn't even make them 24 hours ago!

Dad just came home with a letter from the office, everyone had signed it and put some money in and wrote 'alittle something towards your mixer!' I'm right chuffed, wasn't expecting anything!

Maybe its a term on your account which means that if you withdraw it all then the account will be closed?! so you have to keep 1p in there minimum?! Dunno sorry!

Yep, Kenwood! The one I wanted has gone up from £100 to £150 EEK! so might need lots more 'little somethings' I've gone up to 3 stars on STP with all their ratings messing up, so i'm trying to make the most of it!

    ooh ouch!!
lets see a link of which one it is you want :p I'd love one but I don't really do enough baking. I love doing it at home but then at uni i dont really have all the stuff or the inclination :( when I made a birthday cake the other day - I had to use a saucepan rather than a bowl because I didnt have one!!! lol
Its all good though! Went to a family party last night and it was ok but left me tired out and so i slept in late today! Also the boy has gone to a land of no signal now untill the 28th so I won't be able to see him at all and he didnt even make me the christmas gift I asked for - ah well!
I need to go on a moneymaking/saving rush right about now but i literally have no way of doing that! (lol in my main bank account I actually have £13!! ) :( as I have to pay the balance of his christmas/birthday/anniversary/valentines for the rest of his life present on the 28th - £400!!!!!!! aaaargh lol!
Ill check in later though yeah?
    xx

This is the one I'm after! It's gone back down in price again :j

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-Patissier-MX275-Mixer-Litre/dp/B000779US4/ref=pd_cp_kh_1?pf_rd_p=150281191&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000779URU&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0W0Y3Z1R8G175F8VW1NG

I'd love one but I have two perfectly good arms for mixing so I keep on talking myself out of buying it outright, I'm going to put £5 - £10 aside each week till I have enough then it isn't one big blow to my account.

I'm sure you'll get back into money making, I've made about £8 on STP since friday just doing it in the background when I'm on here.

Hopefully your boyfriend will be able to make the present up when he gets back from the land of no signal?

Went okay at Franks house today, I didn't spill anything while I was eating and actually managed to say full sentences to everyone. Check me out! I get really nervous around them and I don't know why.

I'd love a mixer too! Though creaming builds my arm muscles.

I'm trying to be more money saving today. I've come back from university and I seem to have more junk. So, I have listed some more books on Amazon, thinking about putting a couple of things on Ebay and have joined the H+M newsletter to get a 20% off voucher for when I go shopping tomorrow.
