dooyoo is really good! So so so much better than bview (I only did that for the voucher! bleh) you can review almost anything, from your perfume to a national trust house. Quite relaxed too, all you need to do is 500 words and there's a word count on the bottom of the text. If you fancy joining I can refer you if you like? I might have to wait until I'm 18 until I join that bingo site but I'll let you know when I'm 'ready'!
Saving has gone to pot, spent quite alot today!! Went out for lunch at the thorntons cafe with my mum. She bought dinner but I ended up buying a chocolate hamper box for Franks parents (not bad, £10!) also got Frank some more presents, totalling about £50 *ahem* I have no self control! Bought myself a new coat, my £15 asda coat was starting to feel thin and I was constantly cold  got a £40 one from matalan but used my vouchers, but got seduced by a foot cushion (matches my bed throw) and my mum actually forced me to buy it. Told me to stop being a tight ars(e) which got the ball rolling money wise
I'll use pigback for points when i remember but i'm not a big online spender atm so when I do shop online I forget! Plus they've taken amazon off their list so there isn't much point. think i've got about 5 points on my account so I mareswell leave it.
Oh balls, just noticed the time! Best get a move on unless I want to over sleep tomorrow (again)0 -
Down to £100 in my bank. Admittedly I lent my mum £150 to get my dad a watch for christmas (que in bank was so long and mum doesn't have a pin for her card so can't use cashpoints) but she's tranfering it back into my account tomorrow. so i'll be back up to £250ish by then. I did take £30 out the bank myself because I was going to buy myself a pearl necklace (makes me sound like a granny but it was all pretty and vintage in the watch shop!) but I'm going to wait until after christmas now. Also found a shabby-chic house shop and spent £5 there, needed some new cooking bits like cookie cutters, whisk ect got Frank a mister men book, Mr Impossible, abit of a joke gift because I'm always calling him impossible. Lost track of time in town and it was 11:30 when I got home, barely enough time to get changed so I bought a pot noodle (i'm oh-so healthy!) on the way to work. King sized 89p so still pretty cheap!
I will get back into saving in the new year I promise!!0 -
awww come on- the £150 is being kind and you're gonna get it back really soon, that hasnt really knocked your balance!! Don't be so hard on your self!!
I'm moving some of my student 0% overdraft into a savings account so that I can offset all the interest I owe on my student loan, can't belivev I owe almost 9K allready - its so depressing!!!
but all my mse inspired ways are to try and offset it and maybe have a little saved up for when I graduate and then I could theoretically pay some of it of OR put it towards a house deposit!!! Tried a new bingo offer today (seriously - I actually hate bingo - I know i keep going on about it though sorry!!) where you deposit and play through £10 of your own money and they get (hopefully hopefully hopefully!!) a £50 amazon voucher emailed to me tomorrow which would leave me £40 up... I don't know though, just because I actually had to spend money - I'm not usually so keen on this sort of offer.... It did say it only took 24 hours though so hopefully!!
is frank into all of your moneysaving? I saw on Dinahs thread he was possibly being trained to manager? that's freaking awesome!!! Say well done from me lol!
I'll check in again later/tomorrow
Tink0 -
He's starting training to be deputy manager on the 1st, he says they've got high hopes for him so hopefully, fingers crossed, manager one day! I will pass on your well done
dead chuffed for him!
Mum says if I want to join any bingo sites I can always do it in her name then change all the details ectect when I turn 18. Only 3months and a week! doesn't seem like 2 seconds ago it was my 17th. This year has gone fast.
Fingers crossed for you £50 voucher!
Baking this afternoon, got about 24 cupcakes to make, along with a batch of scones and Nigella's Chilli Jelly. Going to eat my dinner in the car on the way home so I can get straight to it, if I sit down I'm worried I'll fall asleep.0 -
wowee! you sound like you're going to be busy!
I don't have much planned for this afternoon/evening just
1. Make up to 2000 points on bingoprt (hopefully!)Just got my first £5 amazon voucher and it all looks good so far!!
2. See my friend
3. try to have a nsd
4. clean my room
5. maybe check out dooyoo? if you can/want to refer ill pm my email to ya - no promises I'll actually use it though!
6. pack for going home tomorrow!!!!0 -
Oh dear, saving is just not happening...0

I actually managed to do it all (for a change!) 36 cupcakes, batch of scones and 4 jars of the chilli jelly (already picturing it on bacon sandwiches and left over meat after christmas...) finished the washing up and i can breathe and....relax.
Almost off of Franks bits have come in the post now, just waiting on the amazon books now. Opened the 'mystery' one from firebox all the stuff in it totals about £45 (spent £20) and it's stuff he'll like so I'm chuffed! Also got people in the office presents from Asda as all their presents were marked down to £1 each. Got a projector clock, pink car kit and a set of candles.
My only task tonight is to wrap the presents for work + Frank. so not much! Good luck with your list Tink.
Nicki, I know the feeling!!!0 -

Rang the bank and I have £317.55 in with £317.54 I can take out. What the heck? Going to take to nip in the bank on the way home and get a mini statement, figure out where all my money went in my pre-christmas crazy lady rush. Still can't account for that penny, very odd!0

with some reference to cinny's post about the missing penny, i have noticed on my online banking, that when i use my card to pay for something, my cleared balance always shows £1 lower than actual balance until the payment clears. Weird i say, has anyone else experienced this?0
