Very disappointing.
Very crowded, expect long queues at the amusements & rides.
When we got there, there was a 2 1/2 hour wait to see Santa, needless to say, we didn't wait. When we came out. we learned it had grown to a 3 1/2 hour wait.
Along with us, there was also a long queues at customer services, a lot of very angry people demanding there money back.
Definitely, not worth the money.I find Viagra saves peeing on my shoe.....0 -
Santa World was reported on the regional news tonight. (BBC).
People were complaining of the poor organization & the queues.
The promoters have promised to pay compensation to those who complain.I find Viagra saves peeing on my shoe.....0 -
Hi, I went to Santa Land yesterday, but I did not go in, for what I really want is to do some shopping for Christmas. I'm not that interested in the theme park actually.
What I want to get is actually just a beautiful scarf, a pair of beautiful gloves, beautiful hats and a few christmas stockings for decorations, that's all. Nothing much. I have been to other places and found some pretty nice ones, but as I'm getting a gift for the one I love, I want to really get one that's the 'prettiest' I can find.
What do you think? Is it worth for me to pay 25 pounds just to get in there? I wouldn't mind, if the things that are sold there are nice and numerous, I just don't want to spend 25 pounds and get nothing out of it.
What do you reckon? Thanks for your ideas!0 -
I went on the 4th with my 3 year old. Its nothingmore than a glorified funfair. Their website says its 2.5 - 3 hours but when you get there they herd you through and tell you its only an hour. We than queued for 40 mins to ride the carosel, had to queue 2.5 HOURS to see santa (great fun with small kids)and then they wereonly given a pop up story book which costs £2 at the market. They also only have booksfor young kids, not age defined presents. You cant take your own picture of the kids with santa, this way they can charge you £5 for their one.
Also, in the shopping area before the santa bit they charge £5 for a book from santa land and then they give you the same one FREE while you queue to see santa.
I complained on the 4th to Mr Brian Leaker who is the man in chargeof organinsing the entire event. Their were loads of people complaining andI found him very patronising. Hedid, however, promise we would be fully refunded our entry fee if we complained via post or email. I am doing that today and will post again when I geta responsefrom him.
As for the shopping, its not all that good either.I spoke to the man with the bird stall and he said they had to pay £2500 for the pitch and that a couple of days before opening they were giving the pitches away to market stallholders as they couldnt get them all filled. They are not getting trade because when people go into santaland and haveto queuefor so long they want to leave as soon as theyve seen him and so dont visit the stalls.
Take your own food too if you can, they charge 85p for a bag of walkers crisps!
Anyone else have a bad time?
