Hello all,
I'm going to Hungary on Friday.
I have a Sandander Zero card which is only ever used when traveling overseas.
I know this card is no longer available to new customers but can't seem to find out if it still allows me to make withdrawals without charge, does anyone know or able to point me in the right direction.
Frustratingly I have a Halifax Clarity card somewhere, but I can't remember what "safe place" I left it in!0 -

It's called Zero for a reason.
If CC, interest is higher than Clarity. So clear balance promptly.0 -
I currently have some large denomination Euro notes (500 Euro notes) which I would like to exchange into smaller notes before I travel to Greece on holiday in May. Does anyone know the best place where I can do this before I leave? I just have a feeling that the normal money exchange places might not allow me to do this so was wondering would a normal bank allow it if I phoned ahead?0

I'm going to Bali in July to see family. I've been told by other family members (not from the UK) who visit Bali that it's best just to withdraw cash from ATMs out there. I've got a Nationwide Flexdirect debit card, a Nationwide Select credit card and am old enough to apply for a Saga Platinum credit card. I've been researching the pros and cons but am still not sure which it would be best to use for cash withdrawals. I've also seen a comment on here that it can be cheapest to take cash out there and exchange it locally, rather than using the ATMs. Any advice from you experts please?0

I advise you read Martins cheapest travel money article? If the locals say no problem with ATM's then I think you will find Halifax Clarity Credit card better than any you have mentioned. Saga charge 2% at ATM's?0 -
Hi all,
I'm going to the States in 3 weeks time and I have a Santander Zero card for spending/ATM etc. Should I take a back up card, and if so which?
many thanks in advance0 -
You should always have a backup.
Any cards you have will do - or are you thinking of getting another one?0 -

Looks as though you never got a reply to this - mine would have been that you are very unlikely to find anywhere willing to do it. Possibly your own bank if you are personally known there.
Did you ever find anywhere?0 -

I have a (standard) Barclays Visa which I use here in the UK, I just wasn't sure if I should go for another "best" overseas card. It's currently 0% interest but I assume that would go out the window abroad??0
