Good luck. I've been single a while now after 12 years of a relationship. It is hard the first time you go back, but after a while it does get easier, believe me. I'm now loving the house and can't imagine any one else living here!

Tbh, I'm loving the single life! I'm not that young any more but I have masses of mates who keep me mad as they are all totally potty! I don't enjoy my debts but am dealing with them and actually finding it easier as I deal with them in my own way and my bills have halved so I'm saving money already!

Good luck and I really hope that your gran is ok.

This is awful. I'm just back in my flat and as soon as I came in the door I could see that all his stuff was gone. I'm now sobbing uncontrollably.
The flat is a mess as well but I just don't have the energy to do anything about it.
I just want this all to go away.

    Ok

Take a deep breathe, and then another and very time you exhale, imagine putting a bit of space between you and all that hurt. And you may find by putting a it of distance between you and the hurt, that you feel clamer and more abble to cope.

    Try it now?

    I'll try RAS, thanks.

At least I'm staying away from the vodka. He left me a note saying how sorry he is and that he never meant to hurt me. That just made it so much worse.

And when you are calmer, go make youself a hot drink, even hot water if you are feeling fragile. Take little sips and let the warmth flow through you.

You may also find it helps to find a thick jumper or throw or something that you can cuddle up in?

Now then mupeteer, you have done the hardest thing. It's not going to be easy - but from now it is a re-building exercise. Once you have got through tonight it will mean you don't have the first night alone to do again.

Say to yourself - well, it was bl**dy hard but I got through. I may have cried all night, but I made it. Stop beating yourself up and start patting yourself on the back for the things you are achieving.

A trick a very good friend told me to do......
Go and buy a bag of jelly babies and find a couple of pins from the sewing box.
who ever is upsetting you, write name on a small piece of paper.
    Bite head off jelly baby
Pin paper to body and put on pin board
laugh at it for a couple of minutes
remove jelly baby from board and eat it.

Other thing is to buy a bag of hardboiled sweets.
Put one in mouth, then throw another sweet at the wall, shouting and screaming name of person who has annoyed/upset you.

If you haven't started tidying the place up - this is the best one.

Hope this has made you smile and realise that things will improve. As shown above we have been through it before and it does get better. Make a list of things you want to do that you couldn't do before.
Mine was - do a parachute jump, go and see a show in London. Wander round a museum. Watch a musical on tv on a saturday afternoon and put teletext on so you can sing along.
Mortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
To start work on the credit cards now!!
  • Hey hun I found you. Remember I'm looking at a very late night, so tell me all about it when you get in if you want to. Or just type waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa over and over if you want a cyber shoulder to cry on. Try signing up to freecycle if you want to make your home over on a negative budget. I did. Thinking of you xx
