My mom did a 30 point course but it was about 10 years ago, can this still be counted or will it be classed as dead now?

And :j my Understanding Society course came today! Very excited, and a bit nervous too - will any of it make any sense! :o

Yes and No really penguin, yes I'm staying on the course but the financial award is very up in the air and probably a no so I'm paying with credit. Long term it'll be fine but it's making me cringe to think I'm getting to debt!

    It can still count.

I did a 60 point course 30 years ago and it still shows on my record and could be counted towards an ordinary degree.

However, there are time constraints for some degrees (eg having to complete a law degree in six years in order for it to be recognised for progression to training as a solicitor) . In that case, though the points could count towards a law degree, that degree would not be accepted as the qualification for the next step in training as a solicitor.
  • Hi all - I've registered to do the B120 Business Course, starting in May.

I'm applying for financial assistance but I'm having trouble getting someone to verify a copy of my passport - my GP won't do it, and Surrey Police won't either. What has everyone else done? My nearest centre is 35 miles away, so want to avoid a 70 mile round trip to get it signed

Hey, i'm going to be doing the same course as you :D
Do you know any teachers? or policemen?
I got a teacher friend of my Mums to sign mine, she doesn't know me that well but that doesn't matter.

    Hi All

I haven't joined in on this thread because of the title!! I thought it was going to be specific to those studying DD100 & MU120...I wonder if we could change the title or start a new thread called The Open University Students thread...or something similarly open??

Anyway, I am doing AA316, and am quite stuck with TMA04 - I have e-mailed my tutor, who is lovely so I am sure I will get some words of wisdom from her soon.

    Lovely to meet you all

    Mel x

Unfortunately not...looks like a nice drive to East Grinstead is on the cards..! Good luck with the course!

Shall I start a new thread? Can keep a list of who's doing what in the second post, might be useful along the way
