I'm hoping seeing things disappearing will give motivation!!! Pigpen, hope your first hhc went well, i'm ready for the next one and raring (ish) to go.

HHC anyone??
12:30-1pm.. 1:15-1:45pm.. 2-2:30pm
I'll get my list done in the likelihood it will kill me!! I am totally unmotivated today.. possibly due to not having had any time off this weekend with the sleepover and the plaster and the carpet washing.
Off for HHC#1
I'm in for HHC 1.15-1.45pm. Think I'll strip the bed and do a general tidy in the bedroom. Off I go.....0 -
soappie your story about mending your daughter brought tears to my eyes.
nicki, on that subject, I agree with pigpen. What you are achieving with your daughter is worth so much more than any fancy career/house or income. Your studies are vluable to you and you deserve congratulations for doing them. I know it would have been better if your relationship had worked out but even if it had you'd still have moments when you throw your hands up and go "why?" I do it sometimes because I'm so frustrated not being able to earn/have a better career/life/house and then I look at the children and tell myself they're the real acheivement. Nothing else...
welcome to newbies - I'm one myself really still in terms of posts on here but especially in terms of flying actually achieved.I do find I spend so long on the pc, because it's more fun than cleaning....
Maboo that walk to work worries me at that time and it's been hurling down here. Are you ok?

nicki - you can't change the past, but you can of course change the way you view it, and decide what you want the future to hold for you. You are a much richer person for the experiences you have had. Value them. And don't you dare give up!!
suzieq - hugs to you, your OH and family.
I have had an interesting weekend. I delivered DS1 and DD to the music festival on Friday morning, and then on Saturday evening I had a very tearful call from DD. DS1 had tripped over on Friday eveing, and hurt his wrist. It swelled up a lot, and she made him go to the St John's Ambulance, who sent him to hospital for an x-ray. She was on her own (except for the other 19,998 people of course) and feeling quite shaky. I managed to persuade her to text some of the people that she knew were there, and spend time with them, while I tracked down DS1 at casualty. Of course, he had his phone switched off, but the hospital called him to the phone. He had fractured a bone somewhere around hand/wrist and they have given him temporary plaster. He managed to get a lift back to the festival with an ambulance. Apparently, he didn't want to phone because he didn't want me to worry.
I let them stay, as they said they were okay, but the weather deteriorated yesterday and they decided to leave about 9pm. As DS1 was having problems doing much with one hand, I took DS2 down with me. It tipped it down with rain while we were there, and was very windy too. Yuck. I'm just pleased they did come home rather than stay, as it was very rough last night. Both very tired and scratchy today.
I managed to do the kitchen to Level three before they got up, and before I read the thread, so once again have done the wrong room! I just don't care!:p Anyway, the main bedroom doesn't need much doing. OH fitted the second door on the wardrobe yesterday, and I may post a pic sometime. Off to have some lunch. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
dustykitten - please stay. I enjoy your company! If you think flying is taking up too much time, then just set a time limit, and leave anything undone for another day. I'd far rather garden, and if it were dry and sunny today, then I would be out there, not doing the kitchen!
sinderella - Absolutely agree with you about children being a huge achievement! My mum says the same.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
