Off to get ds up from his nap, (he is awake and causing mayhem as usual). Just caught up on the thread and thought you might like this....Dust if you must, but wouldn’t it be better
to paint a picture, or write a letter,
to bake a cake, or plant a seed
Ponder the difference between want and need.Dust if you must, but there is not much timewith rivers to swim and mountains to climb!
Music to hear, and books to read
friends to cherish and a life to lead.Dust if you must, but the worlds out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
this day will not come round again.Dust if you must, but bear in mind
old age will come and it is not kind,
And when you go, and go you must,
you, yourself, will make more dust!0 -
I've just applied for a bank loan through my online banking which would completely clear my overdraft & the majority of my credit card debt and been refused it!!!:mad::mad: Guess I'm going to have to go in and speak to them instead. I only want to borrow about £4k, pay off my overdraft, pay a bulk sum off my credit card & transfer the rest of the card balance to a 0% card but nooooo not allowed to do that.:mad::mad: At £100 a month in repayments, as opposed to the £115 a month (£90 of which is interest charges) I'm currently spending I don't see why thats a problem!:mad:
ARRRRRGGGGGGGHhhhhhhhhh school run time.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Electra - I love that - I shall be printing it - sums up what my heart was telling me last week - glad I just baked scones rather than dusting the family room xxThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

gunsandbanjos I don’t mind talking about ds’s problems but how long have you got lol. He has hydrocephalus, epilepsy, chronic lung disease, a heart defect, low muscle tone, hearing loss, sight problems (due to his dodgy brain not his eyes) he is unable to eat so has a PEG in his tummy which he gets milk feeds through, skeletal deformity of the hands/wrists and wears afo splints as his feet turn right out and he stands an his ankle bone……plus other bits and bobs but I just sound really boring now lol and all because he couldn’t wait to get out as he was born 3 ½ months early.
Hugs to those that need them and squishy hugs to the LO's having op's this week.
Wow, that is alot for one little person! It was the oxygen level that grabbed my attention in your previous post, my LO had loads of problems with hers as she has Tetralogy of Fallot. She has had a repair and is much better, just need to be careful with her. Can be scary when they go really blue:eek: Give him a big hug from us.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Another bleugh can't be doing with it day for me today. I was out the house for 9:20ish, so it started ok, but ds2 has been very hard to settle, and ds1 keeps prodding him when i do, and all i want to do is curl up in a corner and sleep.
I just tried to get my sister on the phone, but go tmum instead, so the headache is slightly worse from bouncing baby, picking up jigsaw, cleaning up baby sick, putting washing up away etc etc while trying to hold thephone between my shoulder and ear for nearly 40 minutes, now that is why i don't like the phone. I was hoping to snooze while the boys were both asleep, but ds1 has been in bed nearly 2 hours, while ds2 scritched, and i haven't done very much so a luxury i can't afford. I am going to have a cuppa then, and start..
nicki chin up hon. Sounds like one of those blooming days - probably not helped by the miserable weather.
hugs all round. Sounds like a few of us would benefit from one, particularly those of you with families who need/have had ops. I will again be thankful for what i have and try to stop moaning about things like sleep deprivation and being fed up of living in a hovel.- [strike]go to bank to get out cash for sister and retirement pressie, and to sign that blasted form that i still haven't done[/strike] also took ds1 to the park on the spur of the moment. Only had 10 minutes there where he got very wet going down the slide, but he loved it. I got soaked on the way home, but the kiddies were under the raincover. I will count this as a HHE
