  • Hi:hello: Gang,

Lost my broadband this weekend, so only just signing up for this week.

Trust you all had a good weekend, I've not had chance to read any posts yet, but I'll catch up later.

Last weeks flying was a little bit of a mixed bag, some sucesses and some failures which seem to be compounded by DS vomiting everytime clean bedding replaced in the cot, he's much better now and typically DD started being sick last night. creating lots of washing!(Again only just changed beds, WHY???) She seems much better tonight, lots of TLC at Nana's seems to have done the trick.

Just list checking while eating dinner - i have been in the kitchen for about the past hour and a half, and i am mighty proud of my first attempt at liver pate - my sample was lovely, so i will take some to my parents tomorrow as it would be piggy for us to eat it all.

I have not done bad today, but i still have stuff to do that is quite urgent so i will leave washing up for dh and get on with that once the food is eaten.

Only had 10 minutes there where he got very wet going down the slide, but he loved it. I got soaked on the way home, but the kiddies were under the raincover. I will count this as a HHE :D

    Hi all

Not been around for a couple of weeks. Firstly Mum visited for DD2s 4th birthday. She was due to fly home last monday when we found out dad had had a massive heart attack and passed away. Mum had tried to ring him (infact it was 35 times I phoned him) but couldnt get through so sent friends up to check and they found him by the pool - looks like he had been filling it. Anyway, I flew back to Spain with her and we had all the official paperwork etc to deal with before we could see him (thursday evening) and then the creamation on Friday morning. The last week has felt like months. I am now left worried sick about my Mum over in Spain alone - she doesnt even speak the language. They live in the mountains so its sola power and no mains electric or water. But they have 10 dogs and 5 cats!

I plan to go out for a couple of weeks again once the kids break up and my uncle is out there for another 3 weeks with her but I really am worried sick about her. Whilst I would love to fly out every chance I get we just dont have the funds to do it. Argghh!! life is sh*t.

Sorry for the tone of the post but hope to get back into flying so I keep some sanity.

Hope everyone else is doing ok - will read back through thread when I get a min.

shell - huge, huge hugs. I've just read your post. I was thinking of you a few days ago, thinking that we hadn't heard from you. I'm so sorry to learn the reason.

Thank you from DS1 to all of you for the good wishes. He says he doesn't find it too painful at the moment, but he's taking the stronger paracetamol the hospital gave him. He has an appointment at the fracture clinic on Thursday morning. It will probably only be in plaster for three or four weeks, so may or may not be off in time for our holiday. DS1 says he's going to insist that they take it off before we leave, but I'm not sure the system works like that!

DS1 is nearly 18, and DD is 16. It really isn't easy letting them go off to do things! They did have a great time although I gather that the festival wasn't that well organised in some respects - they queued for four hours just to get in on Friday afternoon.

Hugs to everyone that needs one.
I managed to get everything done on my list but didn't manage to start on the master bedroom. I ended up cleaning the kitchen and dining room after I'd cleaned the fish and hamsters out.
Was at the pain clinic for hours and I've got to have lumber root blocks and lumber facet blocks to try and manage my pain. Anyone ever had them? They sound a bit painful to me. Still if they work it will be worth it.
Right I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow.

Serena - i'm glad ds isn't in too much pain. Let us know what colour he chooses, i'm guessing it won't be pink.
