Great to see everyone - hi!
Tried to walk the dog yesterday but it was raining so hard that she hid under a hedge, so that was cut short.
Got back from teaching karate to find that Idiot DS had wrenched the tap off the kitchen sink so flooded the kitchen. No water, so couldn't cook, so ended up eating fish and chips at 10 oclock at night.
But today Ive managed to eat muesli for brekkie and walk the dog, so going well so far!

Well done ladies. Keep it up!
I've lost about 1.5 stone since Christmas through counting calories, which I've not done for many years. It seems to be working.
I was about 15.5 stone at one point after holidays and Christmas indulgance, which is about the heaviest I have ever been. I was dead on 14st when I weighed myself last week, and I was really happy with that.
Sadly, few people have noticed!
I almost joined Slimming World when I got engaged, but I seem to be doing OK by myself for now. I'll see how I manage. I might need help later on.
My lightest adult weight was about 12st 5lbs. I'd be ecstatic to get back down to that!0 -
We haven't set a date yet but will def be next year, so would love to join you!
I have a weight loss challenge going with a friend - 1stone in 8 weeks, so 2lbs a week. We're doing ok! Lost a 1lb last week despite dd's 2nd and ds's 19th birthdays at the weekend. They're both on the same day, which is great but expensive!
Good luck ladies!

If you feel the urge to eat chocolate, buy a small bar of the really dark chocolate and just eat a square. Have to agree with that, only trouble is, OH scoffs it all before I get any of it!
It's supposed to stop you wanting more of it because it packs in more of the serotonin that causes you to crave it. Plus it's lower in calories because less milk.
If you have time to cook this it's pretty fabulous and has almost/no fat:
Take some black beans, either dried or canned. Rinse them, stick them in a pan and start boiling.
Keep boiling, add some garlic, cumin and coriander, also some chopped onion. Don't use white kitchen utensils to stir them in - this is going to dye them purple!
Poke them every now and again, and if the water gets low then add more (boiling water is better).
When they're soft enough that you want to eat them, stop adding extra water and let the existing water drain away.
Add a can of chopped tomatoes and stir it all up. Taste test and if you want add more spices.
Serve in a wholemeal pitta or a tortilla Sounds lush!
Not doing too badly so far, up to 15.5pts for today (includes lunch :rotfl: ), which isn't bad considering I'm on 22 per day.
Also did quite well yesterday, I did have 2 hot chocs as it was freezing in our office)0 -
Hello!
Not doing too badly now...although struggling to walk the dog as I have broken my toe! Have water back on so I am trying to drink it instead of eating! Haven't weighed myself because its just too scarey, but I feel thinner!

Hi Skipsmum.
A big ouch at the broken toe, must be very painful for you!
I'm not doing too badly, thanks to the support of my friends. Joined the gym and went for my induction last night. Was bricking it!!! Although it was fine and my instructor was lovely. Feeling it a bit today but not in a bad way. I have tummy muscles!! I know cos I can feel them :rotfl: .
Good luck to everyone, keep it up!!

I have 16 weeks and 3 days to go so I'll be getting on the 'get me in my dress' bandwagon first thing tomo. I would like to lose half a stone or at least a couple of inches off my back so my frock will fit! Need to work on these bingo wings too!0
