Skipsmums Get-Me-In-My-Dress thread (weight watchers wedding challenge)

Right, as of today I have exactly 8 weeks to go and 4 inches to lose round the back/bust.
I weigh 10st 8lb (eek....thought it would be less than that) so I aim to lose 2lb a week for 8 weeks (or until it fits).

So far today Ive had a bowl of muesli, a ham sandwich, ago ahead bar and 3 cups of tea. I did karate for an hour and I am going to walk the dog in a minute.

Anyone else with me for a weight watchers wedding challenge?

Skipsmum (Skip is going to get extra walkies for 8 weeks!)

Sure i will join you. I bought my dress from ebay and when it arrived it was slightly smaller then i thought it would be. Luckily i have 18 months to get in mine but i know any support is helpful. I started WW last week Started at 14st 6 :o last week i lost 2lb and i have my weigh in tonight but my scales say another 2lb lost so fingers crossed. I am doing their core plan rather then the points one as dont have to count points. Good luck hope you get into your dress.

I tried a new eating regime and some exercises but then decided that I was not built to exercise and my love of chocolate was greater than my love to be a size 12! lol

    Good luck :D

I'll join you, I get married the same day as you...My dress fits, but could do with dropping a bit of weight to make myself more comfortable (the dress is corsetted so a bit of weight gone will be fine :D)

You might find, by the day, you've lost the necessary weight through stress alone! I've got just under 3 weeks to go and I can't afford to lose any weight or the dress won't fit

    Good luck!

I'll attempt to join in, I've got just over 12 months to shift 5st  should've been well on the way to that but choccie and takeaways keep calling and have so far gained 1lb since beginning of the year :o

So far today, hot choc (looked on website for NVs but site is down (wicked Coffee)), variety pack coco pops/semi skimmed, banana.

Didn't have time to make lunch before I left for work (had upset stomach due to too much carp over the last couple of weeks), unfortunately don't know what I'm having for lunch as the menu hasn't been updated since "Thursday 4th July" duh, stoopid catering people).

Dinner, am thinking of doing Quorn Tikka

hi i could do with losing a couple of pounds/ more like stones really, but my dress fits and as long as i don't gain i'm fine, but i really want to lose something just to make me feel better. Im going for the no chocolate on days of the week with T's in them, then i'll build up to days with D's in them :)
I have a real chocolate addiction which is a terrible problem when trying to lose weight

If you feel the urge to eat chocolate, buy a small bar of the really dark chocolate and just eat a square.

It's supposed to stop you wanting more of it because it packs in more of the serotonin that causes you to crave it. Plus it's lower in calories because less milk.

If you have time to cook this it's pretty fabulous and has almost/no fat:

Take some black beans, either dried or canned. Rinse them, stick them in a pan and start boiling.
Keep boiling, add some garlic, cumin and coriander, also some chopped onion. Don't use white kitchen utensils to stir them in - this is going to dye them purple!
Poke them every now and again, and if the water gets low then add more (boiling water is better).
When they're soft enough that you want to eat them, stop adding extra water and let the existing water drain away.
Add a can of chopped tomatoes and stir it all up. Taste test and if you want add more spices.

Serve in a wholemeal pitta or a tortilla, or over rice. Nom nom nom. You can add some low fat cheese if you want, but it doesn't need it. Also good cold as a wrap/pitta sandwich to take to work.
